i like the report function being a moderator at another forum it can get over loaded fast with a small team. i work gravy yard 5 days a week and get spam every so often now but that site has a nice team together. nothing beats a good old spam hammer :P i have been there and i fell for the new moderators it is a thank less behind the scene job usually volunteer and all we get are the front end "Spammer here alter messages" over at my other home they make use of a stopforumspam api integrated into there registration process which slows down spammers.
