I’m exploring the idea of signing up for a personal training course in Cardiff and wanted to reach out for advice from those who’ve been through it or have some insight.
Here are a few things I’m trying to figure out:
- Which level to start at (Level 2 vs Level 3) and how the progression works.
- How much hands‑on / practical training is included versus just theory.
- What kind of gyms and fitness studios in Cardiff are hiring after the course.
- The actual cost vs. value—was the investment worth it in terms of finding work or building a client base.
- What to check before enrolling: accreditation, course provider reputation, how well the course helps with job placement.
- The provider mentioned many study options and claimed good graduate employment in Cardiff.
- It’s in a city with a growing fitness industry and lots of gym chains.
- For example, one provider says their Level 2 course in Cardiff leads to Level 3 and beyond.
- Which provider did you go with and why?
- How did the practical training go (gym equipment, client work, assessments)?
- What happened after you qualified – did you get a role in a gym, did you start working with clients, how long did it take?
- What would you go back and tell your “new‑me” when picking the course?
