So I know it's ultimately very important to eat clean and the only day I get away from that is Sunday. I'll maybe have a glass of wine with dinner or a little dessert. The dessert I can stop doing without a problem and not that cutting the one glass of wine is hard either, but will my overall fitness really suffer if I have either of those on occasion while doing the X?

The goal is to really push my body to see what it can be, especially since I have the time right now, so maybe I should just suck it up (except that it's summer and I'm bound to have a BBQ or two in my future and will end up eating something I'm not 'supposed' to!)

I'm a firm believer in cheat days or cheat meals. Every now and then it's good IMO to shock your body. I'd say once a week is fine to slip up. I did not eat perfectly by any means.

Talking Week 1 done!

Day 7/90- Well week one is over and I feel great! As I do these dvd's its funny...I actually keep surprising myself. Heres my thinking as I went through legs and back day 5, I can't do THAT...we'll I'll just try and do one...Yay! I actually did (insert random # here)! I LOVE that feeling of accomplishment and it's only going to get better.

I did make a few changes throughout the week...day 4 was yoga x but I had physical therapy for a knee injury that morning (pretty much an hour of stretching, twisting and what not) and for some reason it left me a bit...hmmm unstable I guess would be the word, so I used that day as my rest day and did x stretch. Today was my "rest day" but I did yoga x this morning. I've been doing yoga for years and I've actually done this dvd quite a few times within the last year so I knew what to expect. Kenpo X I did yesterday and truthfully I HATED it with a passion. I felt so uncoordinated and like I was half @ss'n it through the whole thing. In fact when I was done I felt like I didn't even workout at all so I did Insanity's Pure Cardio. Now that is an INTENSE workout. WOW! I haven't sweat that much in a long time with a DVD workout. I had to ice my knee for awhile after that. lol I plan to do Insanity after P90x so it was nice to get a taste now.

Now I know that some will say I should do P90x just as it is without changing a thing but martial arts type workouts are just not for me, I've tried them numerous times and I just can't get into them like I should. I think from now forward I WILL follow P90x to a T EXCEPT on Kenpo days when I'll do one of the Insanity workouts. I think this will keep me from getting too bored later on in the program. I've learned long ago to do what works for me or I'll give up all together. oh one more thing...I lost 2 pounds !!

Good to see this thread! My friend and I are going to do P90X together when she gets it for her b-day in a week or so....I've lost 28 lbs. with walk/jog intervals and Zumba already and want to see more/faster results. I'm hoping this will help me get to my goal just a little bit faster without being unhealthy about it! I'm trying to do it the right way so the weight will STAY off...

Hi lthousand! Congratulations on your loss so far! That's great! It'll be nice to be able to do P90X with a friend. I tried to get my husband to join me but no go so far...maybe when he starts seeing my results he'll join in.

Glad to see so many new faces on here!

I started the X today, doing the lean program so it was the core workout for me. I love Core. I've started the program and gone through the motions with less effort before, so I'm excited this time. I backtracked and did P90 (prequel to the X) and am a lot stronger this time around. I'm also used to doing two workouts a day, so I've decided to pony up and do the doubles. I was already doing CardioX a lot of mornings, even when I wasn't following the X, so that workout isn't super hard for me.

Just excited to be back on the X (even if it will probably make me super sore)!

How is everyone else coming along?

Did plyo today and it wasn't too bad, or at least I managed to get through it, even if I was dripping in sweat. Plus, for the first time, I could actually do the 'mary catherine' squat move. As many times as I'd attempted the X, I always thought they were impossible so it felt pretty great to be able to do a handful of them!

Well that's my good news for the day...looking forward to tomorrow.

Plyo always kicked my ass. My HR always went way through the roof during it.

Hey! I'm new on here. Had to find a way to keep track of everything and it looks as though this is the perfect place...

I'm getting back on P90X tomorrow. I'm doing Lean, I can't follow the nutrition plan exact bc I dont have access to all of that and I don't live alone. I'm actually headed off to college soon.

Does anybody have a healthy diet plan?

Anyone know how I can track how many calories I'm burning during the exercise WITHOUT a heartrate monitor? I plan on getting one but just can't afford it at the moment...

Good luck to everyone!
