Quick 5 minute leg workout every other morning, 1 leg stair raises, squats and calf raises with 30 seconds in between, has helped reduce knee and amazingly back pain. Check out the kneesovertoesguy on youtube think theres a book as well has really helped me stay mobile while getting older.
Making sure if you have a bad diet day you try and have a couple of strict healthy low calorie days soon after also helps keep your weight from creeping up as well.
