Report for Tuesday:
1. Calories-1500-1600-NO, Yes 1572
(Fitday calculates my intake at 1712?)
2. 128 oz of water-Yes-Yes
3. 1 hour workout-Yes, No 30 min.
4. Clean my laundry room!!-Not yet, No
I did much better yesterday on my calories but I didnt get in my second 30 minutes. DD cheers for JV Basketball at School and the first game was last night so I didnt get home until 8. We then still had dinner, bath, and homework so no time for me. I guess I could have walked after the kids were in bed but I wanted to go to bed too, 5 am comes really early!

OK - I am very, very new to all this but I think I might like this "thread" motivation - since it is Tuesday, 11/16th - I will kind of be a late starter this week
goals for rest of work week:
1) Do not eat more than 1600 cals a day
2) Drink min of 100 oz water each day
3) Do Toning work out Wed a.m., brisk walk/job Thurs a.m. and toning again Fri a.m.
4) Stop putting myself down, give myself a break and realize I am a good person!!!
I CAN DO THIS!!!
Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Hi everyone!
Well, I spent six months way, waaaaayy off the bandwagon putting on weight and now really, really need to get back to a reasonable weight. FitDay was so helpful for me when I kept up with it; I decided I need to again!
I know there was trouble because none of my clothes have fit for a while now, but when I stepped on the scale and saw the largest number I've ever seen in my life (including at any point in any of my 3 pregnancies...)
So here I am. Goals?
1) log my food intake here (and thereby pay some attention to what I eat!)
2) drink only water and tea
3) stay AWAY from carbs altogether, except some brown rice
4) stay within about 1300 cal for the next couple of weeks
5) be a little bit accountable by checking back in here with you gals
Have a good week, everyone!
Margaret
current weight: 74 kg
mini-goal: 70 kg by Dec. 14
end goal: 62 kg

Welcome to new and returning memebers and of course, the poeple here all along. Hi everyone!
My report card:
1) keep to (or below) 1500-1600 calories: 1750 but it was the coke and pretzels I needed to settle my tummy; tummy's weird; 1445
2) meditate more (it really helps)- nope; nope
3) go to the gym or take a walk at least 3-4x - walked 1/2 hour; it was great, walked 1/2 hour again
4) drink more water (I have to, with these meds) water and errrm coke; about 50 oz
5) keep positive- do not take myself so personally I wasn't negative. sorta neutral; very positive
6) take these clothes I have been driving around for two months and actually drop them at Good Will - nope; nope got out bags to organize clothes and forgot to bring em into the car
7) do good work (and keep in touch) - did work, whether it's good, well I'll find out tomorrow, yes I've been working a lot, called a friend before her big trip
8) be compassionate to others, including and especially to the ones I find challenging- I'm trying this out on DD; I think it's working; she'll probably say it was "a fail"; yes, trying
9) get some new clothes so I stop looking like my own grandma- nope, YES I went shopping and it was GREAT and I want MORE (but sadly am on a budget)

Thank you Cubby. I like your goals too; ours seem kinda similar. Great minds think as one as my mother in law used to say.
Ruby, don't beat youself up over the chocolate pretzels. It sounds like you have a lot to deal with. I hope your neck feels better and the stress level goes down. For the neck, have you tried heat, acupuncture, massage? There are also some simple exercises like turning your head slowly however far in every direction (to one side, then the other, drop you head to chest and lift back up slowly and drop to your back.) These help me but the trick is to do them SLOWLY. And of course, I'm not a doctor. These are only suggestions!
I'm going to the acupuncturist today for my neck and back and general pain. I know it's expensive and not even covered by insurance (at least mine isn't) but it really helps. And hey I don't really need that great Cole Haan shoulder bag I saw in a consignment shop. At least I wouldn't have to lose weight to look good wearing it though!!!
