Oh tell me about it!My hubby loves to bring home food surprises when I am trying to lose weight. This time so far so good. lol. Now if I just get my grand daughter to stop begging me to buy junk when we are in the grocery store that would be great. lol.

I haven't grabbed a donut yet, and don't plan to. THEN, we are on our way to church today. I tell my wife that the hotel we are staying at has a fitness room. She rolls her eyes and says, "Well, if that is what you want to do with your vacation time". I mean like an hour a day in the fitness room is going to hurt anything. I swear. .....
I know when I lost 50 lbs 5 years ago my husband was NOT supportive at all. He would complain about what I ate, how much I ate, that I exercised too much. He lost his job, so he began cooking and would purposely cook fried food, potatoes, everything I could not eat. After working 60hrs a week, I gave up trying to cook for just me and ate what he cooked. I gained my weight back and 10 more lbs. I realized that he was worried that when I lost the wait I would not be attracted to him, which he was and still is overweight. This time I sat him down and let him know I was doing this for me and our family, because my health has became a big issue these past 2 years and my weight is making it worse. I advised him I would eat healthy, but still low carb. and exercising 2 hours/3 times a week. He isn't fighting me any more and actually went out of his way to buy sugar free candy for Mother's Day. Maybe if you try to let her know that this is for your family as well as you, she might be able to get on board. Either way, keep up the good work walking away from temptation. I know how hard it is. I have a German Chocolate Cake my best friend just dropped off for my husband and boys, and believe me I do hear it calling my name, I'm just trying to ignore it.

[QUOTE=midwestj;17422]I think the biggest lesson I have learned on my journey so far:

Its your body, you're in charge, NO ONE is going to make the good choices for you, it is up to only you. Your success and your failure starts and ends with you.

Well said !
Reading great quotes like this one provides me with motivation and inspiration.
I'm sure others will agree.
