Hi there everyone (Sarah, I found it :) I'm Kerri and I live in Orlando, Fl. I'm 42, 3 kids, and I want to eventually lose about 80 pds. My first goal is 10%, so that's what I'm going to post. I'm doing IdealShape skakes, incorporating two of those into 6 small meals a day. Today is my third day! Woot!

I love all the motivational weekly threads but particularly wanted to hook up with people starting their weight loss adventure in the same month as me.

I'm so delighted to report that after 6 days I have lost 6lbs already. I know this won't continue at this rate, and I've been down this road before, but still I am delighted.

It takes me from the obese bmi category almost to the overweight bmi category (30.2) - this was one of my intermediate goals. Hopefully, I'll be there next week.

I am finding it fascinating to look at the nutrient details of all the foods I'm eating and it's very motivational.

6lb in 6 days is amazing, fab, awesome etc etc


My rate is slower but I am pleased to report I have lost 5lbs but thats in 3 weeks but I am going to do it slow and steady like a tortoise!

Hi February Fighters,

Still doing ok here. A bit about what diet I am doing.

I'm on a low carb, adequate protein, high (good) fat diet called the Rosedale diet plan. It's named after Dr Ron Rosedale and it's for anyone of course, but aimed at carbohydrate addicted individuals who are either diabetic or pre-diabetic. More another day....

Been a great week - weigh in on Sunday.

When I have lost half a stone my treat is a special work bag which I have my eye on!!!
