The pine nuts in pesto also contribute to the fat content, but both olive oil and pine nuts are high in healthy monounsaturated fat. Just count those calories because although it is healthy, it is calorie dense. I love pesto too! A little goes a long way! I remember you were trying to increase you veggie intake a while back. Adding a little pesto is a great way to flavour steamed veggies! Yum!
