Protein Shake
I was told that I should drink a protein shake by my doctor when I had my lapband in place. I have had a horrible time trying to find one that I liked and about gagged whenever I drank it...so glad I had this idea! I add coffee to my vanilla protein shake so it tastes like a frozen ice coffee...no extra calories and I actually look forward to it each morning! The other shake that I really like (but has a lot more calories) is when I use a pina colada drink and it covers the taste too and is very yummy! Hope this helps someone else!!!

Protein shakes isn't the best option to lose weight as it may cause some serious health problems like dehydration, may be responsible for osteoporosis, kidney problems. Another disadvantage is after you lost weight when you go for the normal diet you will gain the lost weight again.

It is important to follow the recommended diet following surgery and to avoid introducing solid foods too early in order to prevent any slippage. You need clear liquids for the first 24 hours, full liquid diet of 3 meals per day for 3 weeks, then a soft diet of 3 meals per day for 1 week. Although @Henrybishop is right, it is what they tell you to eat. But not necessary. Many liquid proteins have milk, and this may cause some gastric distress. - if they cause distress - you do not need to continue them.

The shakes that I use taste good and are less in calories, you get them online at Dramatic Weight Loss. I have lost over 25 pounds in 6 weeks, with no exercising!!! but when I reach my goal I know I must exercise to keep my goal weight...
