i'm over half way to my goal and less than aa pound to my mini goal i gotta keep at it!

MAIN80 11-25-2011 10:38 AM

Well, these last pounds are giving me a hard time. But now I am back to were I started. Trying to lose weight in December seems strange in my mind but I will give it what I've got.

Yunalee, congrats on your steady loss.

Michael, as always such an inspiration.

Mike, besides Spamcakes and Spamburgers what else did you have in your diet?

36 Days Left!

So, guys and gals, 36 days left in '11 and this particular challenge. Time's getting short, but let's all remember that whether we make our goal or not that it's the effort that counts.

Personally, I'm not sure I'll see 179 by 01/01. My 188.5 check in a couple of weeks ago was, I think, a bit low. I must have been wicked dehydrated or something as I had a fairly big bounce up. Now, I expect that as it's how I seem to lose these days. A dip down, and bounce up, and so on but with a downward trend overall.

Was at 189 this morning, and given the calorie level I've had for this holiday week, that's not bad. I plan on seeing a nice loss by the end of next week. 10 pounds off in five weeks is certainly doable, but at my weight I don't think it will happen with a 2K calorie average! Now if I can keep to 1500 or so, that would probably work. We'll see!

Anyweigh, stay the course, be safe and we'll see the New Year in a little lighter!

Regards,
Michael

A nice loss this morning. Really amazing how my weight can fluctuate but as long as the trend is eventually downward I guess it's OK. So, 185.5 today. Just might see the 170's by New Years.

Regards,
Michael

Good work Michael. My weight loss is all up and down but thats based on so many bad weeks in my 'diet'

I want to be in 170's too by new year so I'm trying to get there by the 23rd of december as thats when my drinks and meals with friends and family starts. Then I just hope I have 3 care free days then back into it for new years, one more blow out and hopefully I'll still be in the 170's to start 2012.

Having a good week so far but alot of my weight loss last week was from a bug In had friday night/ saturday so I'm being harsh on my diet this week.

Unless something crazy happens, I won't reach my goal by January 1st, but that's okay because 10% loss is getting to be a bit fast for me for three months anyway, I think. I weighed in this morning down 6 lbs since we started the challenge, and I was stuck at a wee plateau for about three weeks a bit ago. All in all, I'm alright with my progress. You all look like many of you are doing well, too - congratulations!

yunalee 12-02-2011 03:51 AM

well i think at some point you can't really lose 10% of your body weight in such a short time if you only have alittle bit to lose

i for one am not looking forward to that last 10 pounds phase

saied129 12-04-2011 03:45 AM

happy new year for allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!! !!! :):p:p:p

I agree. I'm not quite going to make it, I don't think, and this will be my last 10% goal for myself. For the April Fools Day Challenge, I think I'm going for 5%. I really want to take of this last 20 pounds slowly. If I do half a pound a week, I'll be happy.

Regards,
Michael

A hair over two weeks left!

Down (finally) another half a pound after that bounce, so an even 185 this morning.

Now 184 is my all-time low weight and is what I got down to "last time" back in '01. Before that, probably the last time I was 184 was in elementary school.

So even though I doubt 179 is going to happen by New Year's, I'd like to think I can manage 184 or 183 and I'll be happy.

Keep on keepin' all, my fellow "losers". :D

Regards,
Michael

it's hard to say if i'll meet my goal of 210 by the new year, but getting to 213.4 or under by that time would be great snice that'll be 20 lbs lost!

mecompco 12-21-2011 08:25 PM

Ten days left! Finally lost another pound--the scale has been pretty sluggish lately. But, that's fine as I'm wrapping my head around not being in a big hurry to lose the last 19 pounds.

On the kinda cool side, 184 equals the lightest weight I got down to "last time" back in '01. Another pound and I'll be lighter than any time since I lost weight at 21 and got down to 175 or thereabouts.

Keep up the fight and stay safe, everyone!

Michael

last check in for me

and i lost 8.4% of my body weight. 19.6 pounds down the drain.

starting and ending the year the same weight so i guess that isn't too bad.

i have to november this new year to get to 125lbs accroding to my program, but if i can get to 140 that puts in and the healthy range.

it'll be a jump for joy the day i get under 200 and i plan to never be in those numbers again!

see you all next year!

mecompco 12-31-2011 01:18 AM

Yup, last check-in of 2011! I actually saw 182 on the scale last week, but after Christmas parties and five days at camp, I've had a pretty good temporary bump up. Amazing what a week of abusing yourself can accomplish (not for the good). But, I avoided any of my trigger foods and I know from experience that I can fluctuate five or six pounds due to simple fluid retention.

Anyway, I'm for the record I'm going to stick with my last "official" weigh in for the challenge, and end at 184 for a 15lb./7.5% loss. Not bad, going on two years of consistant losses.

So, with this challenge coming to an end, who's up for the ever popular April Fool's Day Challenge? I think I'm going to shoot for 5% this time, though if I managed to do better that would be great.

May 4th will mark my two year lifestyle change anniversary and I've got it in mind that it would be cool to be at or around my ultimate goal of 165.

Regards,
Michael

Happy New Years!

Collectively, we lost around 136 pounds during this challenge--weigh to go!:D

To those who stayed the course, congratulations! To those who strayed or took some time off, don't despair--the great thing is that you can go for it again. Examine what worked for you and what didn't. Make some changes to your plan and make a new commitment.

Let's all make 2012 a great year!

Regards,
Michael
