Great decision. I weigh 440 lbs and that is hard to type too but I think that is our first step to helping ourselves. If we all support each other and stick with it we can do it. Even if we slip up just pick ourselves up and keep trying. You are only a failure if you give up and we can't do that! Yea yea!

Fell off the wagon
I started in January 2009 at 160 (I'm 5'1", a 23-year-old grad student, and have unfortunate genetics). By August, I'd gotten down to 135. Over the school year, life got in the way of exercise, and I didn't have an exercise/weight-loss buddy like I'd had previously, so I've gained 7-8 lbs back. My shiny goal weight is 120, but with muscles and a wide pelvis, 125 is more realistic. I'll be working in the field (lots of hiking!) until the end of October, so let's see if I can do it!

Feeling Confident
Hi everyone,
I'm 23 years old, 156 cm tall (i think that comes out at 5'2?) and I currently weigh 75kg (165 pounds). I would like to lose about 15 kilos (35 pounds) by the end of the year. This is about a kilo a week - I'm really optimistic that I can do it. This is the most I have ever weighed in my adult life - last year, I went from 72 kg to 65 on weight watchers - but after my wedding I put it all back on, plus interest. My husband and I are trying to conceive at the moment and I want to be in good shape to give us the best chance at success. As well as calorie counting, my goal is to drink at least 2.5 litres of water each day and work out for an hour at least four times a week.
Good luck to everyone else out there, whatever your health goals are!

Almost there
In 2005 I weighed around 210lbs. I am a 5'6" female and currently 150lbs after 5 years of changing my mental health, exercising a lot, and slowly learning to eat better. I started using FitDay over a month ago and I lost 5 lbs in that month. My goal by Chirstmas is 140lbs and my final goal is 135 by February.
Good luck to everyone out there; you can do it!

I'm 19, 163cm (5ft 3) and I am going to lose 6.5kg (14 pounds). Ever since the start of highschool I have been about 5 kg overweight and I am now making the conscious effort to change.
I already eat generally healthy foods (wholegrains, water, lean meat etc) and exercise reguarly, but I add too many treat foods due to boredem eating. I figure having to count my calories and write down what I eat will help me to realise what changes are necessary.
