1. Develop the habit of weighing every day

2. Calculate food calories

3.measure the amount of food

4.plan three meals

5.say goodbye to all-you-can-eat restaurants (never see you again)

6.a strong heart, refuse temptation

7. Eat more foods that are easy to fill up to fight hunger

8. Include dairy products in your diet

Sorry, but I disagree with the above list. I lost a lot of weight years ago and have kept it off. Here's my response to the list.

1. You don't need to weigh every day. Don't get discouraged by minor weight fluctuations.
2. There's no need to count calories if you're avoiding sugars and starches, which raise insulin and cause weight gain.
3. There's no need to measure as long as you're eating the right foods and avoiding the wrong ones. Just don't go overboard with huge portions.
4. You don't need three meals a day if you don't want to eat three times a day. Many people have great success with intermittent fasting. Sometimes that is as simple as eating twice a day and having a longer "fasting" period.
5. You can go to those restaurants if you follow your eating plan.
6. Instead of saying, "I can't have that," tell yourself, "I don't eat that." You'll never regret what you don't eat.
7. Avoid sugars and starches. Bread and cereals might fill you up, but they won't help you lose weight.
8. You might lose weight more easily if you give up dairy. Do what works for you.

By the way, where does this statistic of 86% come from?
