Refridgerator Magnets

Slogan's I would put on my fridge:

"What you are looking for is not in here"

If you are not hungry, eating won't help.

I'd take the Jedi approach: "These are not the empty calories you are looking for..."

LisaAnne,
Think I'll print your quote in big bold type and post it on both the 'fridge and the pantry door - love it!

I used to have two signs in my kitchen:

Ask yourself if you really want it.
("it" could mean anything BTW)

Nourish yourself.
(also might not mean food)

Healthy eating awaits....

The first step is to not stock your fridge with unhealthy foods, of course, but overeating is still always a concern. If you want something to read on your fridge, try this:

"Never give up what you want most for what you want right now."

Applies to many things including weight loss.

I keep boiled eggs in my refrigerator to eat if I get hungry.

I have a sign on my frige that says:

" If you're hungry, eat a boiled egg. If you don't want a boiled egg, then you are not hungry."

Rather than a sign on my fridge, what I really need is an led display that shows my intake and deficit for the day, and automatically adds in anything I touch.

Although there is one I remember from a post a while back that said something like "You are what you eat, and who wants to be a great big cheeseburger butt?".

Thats brilliant :)

I have considered putting a mirror on the fridge door. At least then I would have to face myself before opening it. But really? The foods in the fridge are mostly the healthy ones ... it's the pantry that holds the not so good choices (my husband's: cereals, chips, cookies).

"sometimes it is necessary... to reteach a thing its loveliness"

LisaAnnie 01-02-2011 06:50 AM

It's so hard when I have to, and so easy when I want to.
