I cant lose weight

Hi, I'm on a diet for a month. I do intermediate exercises every day. During this time I did not notice any results. I currently weigh 231 lbs, I weighed 230 lbs a month ago, so instead of losing weight, I put on weight. What am I doing wrong? Is it time to go to a specialist?

  • Check your Total Daily Energy expenditure (TDEE) (google "TDEE calculator)
  • Weigh all your food & log everything you eat into fitday for a week or two.
  • Then see if there has been enough of a calorie deficit to help you lose.
That's what I did last August when I had been dieting and seen almost no loss. I was eating at my about maintenance at that weight (200 lbs, 5 foot 5 woman in her 50s). My maintenance as a a mainly sedentary office worker was ~1800 cals per day. That was about what I was "dieting" at.

Since then, I cut back on my eating a lot (trying to average 1200 cals per day, most days getting between ~1300, rarely about 1500) and that's created enough of a deficit that I've been losing about 1 lb per week for the past several months.

Consistent calorie deficit will help you.

Also make sure that you're tracking appropriately. The scale only tells you half of the story. You need to take your waist measurements too.

You might not be following proper dietary instructions and exercise regime. Consult your dietician regarding the same. You can also try taking - such as Xenical, Contrave, Qsymia, and Belviq.

Yes it is better to consult a dietician .Also, consult a specialist for exercises You might be doing some wrong exercising. For losing weight, you need to consume less fats.

If you are doing a lot of exercise you may be losing fat, but gaining muscle. Have you been tracking your measurements as well as your weight? Muscle is more compact, pound for pound, than fat and you can lose inches without losing pounds.

If you force yourself to go on a diet and are fixated solely on the result, then it will not happen, because you have driven yourself into a social framework and are trying to comply with them. Putting yourself into a frame is to become a portrait. Your body is not stupid, it takes care of you, and if you cannot lose weight, it is only because you are under constant stress. On the stress of self-rejection and self-contempt.

I wish you only success. You will succeed, because there is no other way. However, is this really what you want?
