Default Intermittent Fasting 16/8

IF is a great way to adapt your hormones to burn some serious fat.
Attributed to the reversal of diseases such as type 2 diabetes by
Doctors such as Dr. Jason Fung, IF is more than just a
weight loss fad. Often used in conjunction with the keto diet,
IF has gained a reputation to give people who have struggled
for years with weight loss the power to achieve their goals.

IF is best described as an eating pattern, rather than a diet.
It involves eating within a certain period of the day.
Although there are many methods, the 16/8 method seems
to be the easiest for beginners to adapt to.
It involves an 8 hour eating period and a 16 hour fasting
period. The point of this is to reduce the amount the hormone
insulin is released. This hormone is responsible for
reducing high blood sugar by putting the body in a state of
storage. When blood sugar drops, due to no eating in the
fasted window, Hormones such as glucagon and HGH
are released to stimulate the body to break down stored
glycogen and fat. This is why fasting helps people drop
so much weight. This is also why it trumps low calorie diets
as they do not promote the same hormone adaptations
fasting does.

Default Intermittent fasting

Intermittent fasting can be helpful for in-shape people (who ideally have a healthy and sane relationship with food) who want to really get lean without following conventional bodybuilding diets, or for anyone who needs to learn the difference between body hunger and mental hunger.
