I'm officially out of the 500's! :D After my workout yesterday, I weighed myself and I am down to 498 lbs. I'm so excited and I cant wait to be into the 300's. Results are the best motivation!

congrats...you will be in the 300's in no time.....my weight loss was my own motivation....it seemed to have come off quickly for me....now that i am down from 440 to 286, the weight is not coming off as quick (as expected), but for some reason, i lost some of the drive over the last 2 months and it showed by me eating more stuff, than i normally do (greater amount of healthier choices, not necessarily back to old bad habits), but with the summer coming up, and i recalculated some weight loss goals....i am getting the itch all over again....and i think by august 2012, i can be at 220, which is half of what i started at in a total of 18 months..which would make me have averaged about 12.5lbs a month, which makes me just as excited...congrats to all those who continue to stick to our weight loss plans....

Yes, things kind of slow down, eventually. I've been stuck in the mid 180s for a while now. I know it's of my own doing, not enough exercise and (like you say) eating more. I know this is a dangerous time as this is about where I was "last time", back in '01 when things went bad. The problem is that I feel good, look more-or-less "normal" and for some reason seem hungry more often. I do continue to log everything into FitDay and am aware of the situation.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear of your newly refreshed drive to get some more pounds off--let us know how it goes!

Regards,
Michael

Hey, congrats on hitting the 4's! At this pace you'll be into the 3's before you know it. Keep up the good fight and let us know how things are going.

Michael

Hello Everybody!

I stopped smoking 7 years ago and started eating instead. But figured if I could stop smoking, I should be able to control my eating as well. It's not been as easy as I thought. Everything tasted so good and I am an outstanding cook! LOL! I'm up to 268 and I feel awful. I need to lose 120 pounds to get into the BMI for my age and height. I want to be able to take a walk with my grandkids without gasping for breath. I'm going to do this one day at a time but my goal is 120 pounds gone by my youngest child's graduation from college..May 2013.

Great job--keep it up! Looks like you're pretty close to the home stretch, don't get discouraged if the losses slow up a bit as you get smaller, I know mine did. Keep us posted as to your progress.

Michael
