Chronic Shoulder Pain/ Prolonged Dieting
 
This is the 2nd time I have been on a diet that lasted over 10 months and both times I have experienced chronic shoulder pain. Usually starting in the right deltoid area and getting progressively worse over time. My doctor the 1st time this happened suggested it was a mineral deficiency. Now I am dieting again and have lost 55lbs and the problem started up again. I was even tested for arthritis and, nothing. It was getting to the point of not being able to lift my arm but, by chance only, I found out what it was and solved the problem.

I met a new man who described the exact same problem he was having while taking statin drugs for cholesterol. His was so bad he was loosing the ability to drive but an intern told him it was likely a deficiency in co-enzyme Q10. He got the supplement and it sorted out the problem.

Although it had a different cause his problem sounded exactly like mine. I figured it was worth a try so I got some too and within a week on 100mg a day mine was gone too. This stuff can be expensive and the best deal we've found was costco.

I don't know why more people don't know about this but if you have been dieting a long time or taking cholesterol medication, and have joint or muscle pain that cannot be explained in any other way, you should definitely try this. It took about 4 days for me to notice a difference and a week for it to go away completely. It has been one of 2 supplements I have tried in my life that actually did what it was advertised to do.

There are a number of threads about frozen shoulder on the forum. That might be what you have. It sounds like a bit of a coincidence. OTOH it might not be of course. Hope it isn't.

On the positive side, Dr B says that near-normal BG (ha ha), meaning real low carb, has in his experience reversed many or most complications of diabetes. That's certainly what I'm hoping. I think I have in the past had twinges of this. I'm aiming for near-normal blood sugars, if I can do them safely.
