Weekly Weigh In Thread
Is anyone interested in doing a weekly weigh in? We can all weigh in at the end of the week (on Fridays?) and I can make a spread sheet and post it on Saturdays. We can do it in 6 week increments.
That way we can all track our progress in one place and not have weights here, there, and everywhere. I have done 2 biggest loser contests in the past year and liked the feeling of accountability every week. It kept me on the straight and narrow knowing I had to weigh in on Fridays. If anyone is interested, post your weight today and I will log it all in. We can encourage each other through our Ups and Downs!! Deanna |
Fridays are my weigh in day, so that would work great for me!
This morning I was 167.2 Goal weight is 150. I had gained some weight from overeating nuts!! But now have it down to 11 almonds a day. I should be alright now. I was at 169 after the gain, so I am coming down again. YAY! |
I forgot to put my weight today- 183.4

Sorry, I didn't see this yesterday! 191lbs today, down from my starting weight of 203lbs I am happy to say! This is a really good idea, I will change my weigh in day to a Friday and look forward to seeing the results :)

I am new here. In 8/08 I was 367,by 5/09 I was down to 299, then after 6 months of steroids due to illness I was back to 330 something. as of fri 1/22/10 I was at 326.2. I would love to be part of your weigh in to help keep me accountable. |
Hi im new here also.I have been working hard for about 3 months.Started at 300# I am now at 255.My goal weight is 170 its along ways to go but im alot closer now than I was.:D

HI I'm new here, I hope it's not too late to join the weighins- which I think is a wonderful idea. my last weight was 161 on wednesday 1/20. will change my weigh-in days to fridays! Just started with program- starting weight was 162. have been doing weight training & cardio all week, so I suspect I won't be losing very quickly.

Id like to join weigh in also..I'm new
started last year @ 263 ..got off track for awhile..now I am at 238..just trying to get back into the swing of things :-) a weekly weigh in would sure help:p

I started at 205 and am now at 193. The weight came off fast at first, and is now a little slower. It will be nice to be held accountable for my weight. Please add me as well, 193 on last Friday. Thanks!

Me too please. I'll change my weigh-in to Friday. This will help me be more accountable. I've been logging my food for the past week, but need to get my butt moving on the treadmill, & I don't want too, so I can log activities too.

Got ya Jessie. Great going on the smoking. I have smoked for 29 yrs and I just am not ready to give it up. I keep thinking one day I will but I just haven't reached that point yet. Kudos to you!

I wouldlike to join in as well. I currently weigh in at 157. I've been stuck at this weight for about three months now so I'm recommitted to entering in everything I eat and getting back to exercising at least four times a week. I weighed in at 230 lbs when I started about 18 months ago. My goal is 143!

We have 17 people now! In case anyone missed it- the starting weights are listed on post #9 of this thread (page 1). I can't wait until Friday to see how great everyone has done!!

Great job on quitting smoking. I quit over ten years ago and haven't had cravings for almost as long. The first couple of months are the worst, especially as you accommodate your habits, in addition to the nicotine cravings. But it's a great step toward your overall health. It does get easier. One thing I always said is that there's nothing beneficial about smoking (no vitamins, health benefit), and since it's a carcinogen (causes cancer) there's no reason to do it. I also liked the philosophy that you can still take that break five minutes every hour! :D

I smoked for 29 years as well and have just decided that enough is enough. If I am going to changed my lifestyle to be healthier, then how can I justify smoking as well. I wore the patch for the first day and that was it, my husband sells electronic cigarettes and I will use that once or twice a day. I had to change my eating habits with this as I do not want to gain ANY more weight! Gave up alot of things that go hand in hand with smoking such as coffeee and alcohol sooo off to a new year and a new lifestyle!:-)

Too late to join?
Is it too late to join? I've been looking for something like this to get into but haven't yet found it until now. I have just started to get serious about my weight loss. I am a 26, male, 6' 2", 323 lbs. I am hoping to get down to a weight that begins with "1" anything after that would be great!!!

My last weigh in I was 230. I want to be on onederland!!! I would like to be there by July 13th (that is when my baby's first b-day is). So 199.5 is going to be wonderful! In total I want to get down to 175 which is 55 pounds. |
