Went off track for a LONG time (about 2 months now), I was able to maintain but not lose. Hopefully I am back with you guys for real now

Welcome Back Vsabino! Congratulations on maintaining. That is a goodness for you to move forward. This time of year is always hard with all the extra temptation and, for many of us, cold weather that reduces the ease of outdoor activity for extra calorie burn. We will all need to learn on each other!

No loss this week. I took a break from counting calories this week, and see where it got me! vsabino, you are going to hate me. No exercise for a while now. I was great when I first started in September, but have really slacked off on exercise. I try to keep it to 1500 cal a day (avg - I do zigzag some), try for 30% protein or more, the rest split up between fat and carbs - I 'm not afraid of fat at all (just the amount of calories in it!). I started at 180.6 in September, but the weight is slowing down and I really need to exercise. I think I have a pretty decent metabolism (for a 40-year-old), so that helps I'm sure. This week I am trying to keep my calories well under 1300 or less to make up for Thanksgiving.

ncbennett, your weight loss seems to be in line where I am headed. I had pretty consistent weight loss for the first few weeks, but now I have been bouncing around between 166.5-168.5 (the 1 weird jump to 170) and I cannot get below that 166.5 mark. I have not been exercising much or hard due to a big project at work and long hours. Maybe I need to try your zig-zag approach? If you have other tips I would love to hear them!

I didn't eat much on Thanksgiving Day but I gave myself too much free reign the rest of the weekend so I am up and have to re-lose these pounds again. The unfortunate part is that I lost some of my motivation and drive with the lazy long weekend. I worked out well on Saturday and Sunday, but it was enough of a break in my eating routine that it seems like a chore to get back on track! If I can get to 160 by the end of December that will be amazing.

Only gained 0.4 pounds, even after eating whatever I wanted on Thursday and Friday. Leading up to Thursday, I ate less than my normal alotment though. Would like to get into the mid 150's by Christmas, although I will be happy just to get into the 150's at all!
