[QUOTE=01gt4.6;76373]Get your foot fixed! I had that and it's painful. You can probably get some of the "custom fir" Dr. Scholls inserts to help out. A stationary bike is better than nothing but Plyometrics will burn way more calories in the same time. Have you tried Core Synergistics instead of Plyo?
Yeah, I am in the process of fixing my foot. I have not try Core Synergistics yet. I know you have done P90X before, so I have some questions. I heard that P90X is very hard. Many can't follow through the whole DVD. But I feel it's hard but I can follow it through. At the end of the work out, I feel that I breath hard and I feel that I am done but i did not have to pause. Today I supposed to rest or stretch. Am I not pushing myself hard enough? Or maybe I didn't do it right? Mai |

Mern, you're not nuts. When Tori was here Quinn told her that she sized she were here.
Nobe, you had to burn a lot of calories at the playground. Not this week, but occasionally when I'm doing really heavy housework I count it as exercise. So you did well. Honey, major kudos on your weight loss so far! Down 20 since your heaviest weight and 11 lbs. more recently is fantastic. I'm not at all surprised--look at all the green in your report this week! Your red numbers show that you came really, really close. And your protein AVERAGE is WAY better than 17%. Congrats on THAT job well done, too! People who are with us in person very often may not notice our weight loss, but that's certainly no excuse for insensitive remarks. People can only make us feel bad about ourselves if we give them that power. Don't let your Mom have it. We are here for you to congratulate you and root you on with your continuing loss. Big hug to ya! :) Mai, 1785 calories for the day is really great when it includes a birthday lunch, especially one's OWN birthday lunch. Oh, so sorry about your feet. I have a friend who has plantar fasciitis and she, too, modifies her exercise. Good for you for figuring out a way to still do that super-challenging P90X. Ooh, I LOVE spinach and cheese omelets. Thanks for that idea! Kudos on planning your meals ahead. Hope, please let us know how the stress test came out. My DH had one a couple months ago after his routine EKG results came out suspicious, but it must have been a gremlin in the EKG machine because he passed the treadmill stress test with flying colors. That was another case where we decided to not worry until we knew we had something to worry about. We save ourselves a lot of needless worry these days. I hope you enjoyed your poker night goodies. I've tasted chocolate vodka and it was really yummy. Try to eat really clean today, if possible, and drink extra water. Maybe in a day or two it'll all be washed away. :) We've never actually SEEN the human under that Barney suit. Maybe Mike IS Barney--with padding to make him LOOK plump! Wow, that's a tongue twister. Can you say PLUMP PIMP fast three times? I'm sitting here trying and laughing like a fool--can't avoid saying "plump plimp." :D Luv, congrats on your magnificent week! I hear ya--meeting my goals and sticking with the clean eating all week was no easy task, but it surely was worth it! Congrats, too, on working on not worrying so much--it wastes so much precious time. |

Mern - you rock my world! Congrats on the amazing report! So happy for you! :D
|
AMA - thats a lot of goals!! Congrats on keeping track of them all!! I think I'll start off small like... get dressed in the morning LOL
You ALL seem to be on track and doing really really well with your goals! It's a crazy thought, but I'm actually looking forward to this Monday to start a new week! There is no Bachelor this week but I'm sure I will pull thru! |
Food Plan=Good
Exercise=Good new job running me off my feet Feet=Sore Weight=Steady Health=One nasty cold Free time=Non existent:( Fitday friends=Missing you all a lot hope to regain some norm later this week and find time to chat again. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.:) April=Thanks for the Hi it reminded me how much I miss you all.:D |
Mern, what an amazing report. All that green must have been for St Pattys, right? I did not go too crazy drinking (a few sips of beer, a few sips of port) but I did indulge in snacks (and they weren't even that great) and am up a pound. I am putting my stuffed nose back to the grindstone. I am doing positive affirmations (I am healthy, I feel well) because I do think they work! As for the stresst est and echocardiogram, I am sure they are OK but thank you for your concern, dear Mern and I will let you know.
Now back to important things: plump pimp, plump pimp, plump pimp. MyDD had one she made up when she was little: wasps' nests, wasps' nest, wasps' nests |
1785 calories on a b-day lunch, Mai, is not bad. Good luck with your foot.
|
Guess who woke up sick? Remember the other day when I said hubby kept taking swigs of my water? I didn't think about it at the time, but he had a cold. Between that and the fact that I'm having a birthday pizza dinner tonight at my dad's (my birthday's tomorrow), I think today might not be so good. Going to try to work my calories around the fact that I'll be stuffing my face with pizza and cake tonight, but I'm 99% sure I'll go over. Oh well, tomorrow is another thread.

Hope, I'm sorry. I just took of my tie and the shirt is not quite the same without it. I may snap a quick pic and post it tomorrow. |
Nobe - Yay Canada!!! The jungle gym sounds fun! Way better than walking!! Sorry to read about your mom... that sux... that really really sux! You are doing great and you are not doing this for her anyway so don't even worry about it - this is for you! Yeah, I know...I don't know why I told her. She never has anything good to say, and I don't listen much to it anyway. If I did, I'd just give up because even at 130 she called me fat. It's her issues, not mine. Ama, congrats for hanging in there and doing a really good job this week. Congrats on your clean eating except for that little package of fruit snacks. And major kudos on losing six lbs. since January and on being just about downsized to fit in those skinnier jeans. :)
Jho, well you just rocked MY world with your kind words. Oh, man! I cracked up at your goal of getting dressed in the morning. I gotta admit that sometimes it's a major effort myself and I confess to actually having driven my grandkids to school in my flannel jammies and a long sweater--but I didn't have to get out of the car. Aw, that's great that you are looking forward to a new week! Sorry you'll not have the Bachelor this week. Darlene! Welcome back! I love your pretty springy avatar. :) Great job putting things in a nutshell. Sorry 'bout your cold. Get well soon! How do you like your job? Hope, aw, thanks for your kind words on my green report, too. My maternal grandmother was a Milligan and Grandpa drank a lot :p so I had reason to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with all my green. LOL Kudos! Being up only a pound after the poker party and indulgences is great. Yeah, you can flush that out really soon. Sorry your nose is still stuffy. Did you have a health incident that led to the stress test and echocardiogram or was it follow up on a routine exam? Hey! TYPING plump pimp doesn't count to passing the tongue twister test. LOL I can't say wasps' nests even once correctly! Not exaggerating. DH thinks I'm nuts--I'm sitting her giggling like a fool again. Nobe, happy birthay tomorrow! Oh, no, sorry you're sick! I hope you feft better by tonight and enjoyed your birthday pizza dinner at your Dad's. Well, there are no food police here to tell you that you can't go off your eating plan for vacations, special occasions, and your own birthday. Like our member Cassie says, it's all about averages. So don't deprive yourself tomorrow, either. I think you're doing a fantastic job. And sometimes it just takes our bodies a while to respond to the good things we're doing for them. Feeling good, knowing your good job is making you healthier goes a long way. Thanks for your kind words on my green. :) |
Popping in here . . .
Just to say you all are doing great -->
And Mern, http://yoursmiles.org/bsmile/fun/b0250.gifWohooooo! on so many levels ~ your follow through on your goals, your weight loss!!!! I'm telling you, I better get busy or else I'm going to see you fly like Dr. Seuss's "Mr Brown is out of Town" dude. Do you know that book? Are you ready for another week? nobe ~ Awwwww . . . Please take care of yourself. You are doing great otherwise with your goals & coming right back at it. When we don't feel good, it's just all the more challenging, but hang in there! I also have WED has official weigh-in. Although, I do weigh other times. I like how you hold onto the fact that you're making yourself healthier. Darlene ~ Good to see you again! Keep taking care of yourself. Hope you can tweek in a moment or two for yourself. Jho82 ~ I love Mondays for this thread too. It's like a brand new, fresh start. I need it after today. Sundays are my days off -- AND supposed to do it with reason. But I had a major weak moment today at my parents' home. :p Life goes on . . . |
Luv, OMG, that dancing Smiley is darling! Thanks for that. :) I'm not familiar with "Mr. Brown is Out of Town." Is that one that was released by Dr. Seuss's wife after his death? My son, now 32, loved Dr. Seuss when he was a kid. He read "Hop on Pop" about a zillion times. LOL Honey, I am PUMPED! I can't believe I'm saying this but as much as I hate exercise, I'm actually looking foward to going to the gym tomorrow. I just love this fat melting away and so hope I can continue down to under 200 before hitting another plateau. OK, so you had a weak moment at your parents' home, but we know you'll jump right back on the wagon. Heck, you're such a leader for us that you'll be DRIVING the wagon. :D
Going to watch TV. Will catch you all tomorrow. ! |
Hope, here ya go. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...picture117.jpg Don't mind the double chin!
I wasn't a weekend warrior. :( I didn't log a thing. I was probably over yesterday and I'm probably way under today. I need to eat soon b/c I need to quit getting up during the night to eat. Speaking of... I felt a little "catch" in the back of my throat when I'd swallow. I noticed it a week or two ago and it's really been aggravating. Not painful just aggravating... kinda like a rock in your shoe (or piss ON your shoe, I figured I'd beat someone to the punch!). The other day I was looking in the vanity mirror in the truck with my big mouth wide open and in the back of my throat, on the right side I see this little white thing. So I reach my finger back there and touch it (don't say ewww, you know you'd do the same damn thing!). I show my GF and she's like "oh that's a tonsil rock." I'm like "wtf?" Well I get home and dig out the tonsil rock... that felt more like a tonsil bolder. I started reading online and realize that this is caused from me getting up during the night and eating. Who would have thought? (Before anyone corrects me and says "it's thunk" I don't care, "Who would have thunk sounds stupid.":p Okay part of my problem (lately) is that I'm so damn busy on Monday that I haven't been getting around to making goals. Sundays are pretty slow for me so I'm going to write my goals now for tomorrow and just copy and paste them in then. Health and Fitness 1) -3000 calories for 6 days 2) No eating past 11pm 3) 5 servings of fruit/veggies 4) Gallon of water 5) Workout 3 times 6) Walk 2 times 7) Daily: a. Fish oil b. Vitamin c. Glucosamine d. L-Arginine 8) Push 2 people, not counting Tori Other 1) Write 3 auto policies (b/c pimp daddy needs a new toy) http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...picture118.jpg 2) 1 Random act of kindness (saving people money doesn't count) |
Mike, you look great in that purple shirt--not at all like Barney! Had to chuckle when you said we all know we'd all stick our fingers in the back of our throat to touch a tonsil rock. I'll have to look that up--never heard of it. No, you're right, it's "who would have THOUGHT." LOL Thunk is poor grammar, but I say it in jest sometimes. Very nice goals for next week. Got a good chuckle out of your promising to not push Tori. Nice bike!
Now I'm going to watch TV. Goodnight, everyone. |

The shirt looked great!!You looked great!!! And it matched your avatar. Thanks for posting. And even if it's not as bright in person it was not obnoxious at all as it was.
I gotta confess I never heard of a tonsil rock. Gotta go consult "the Google" as my friend Tom calls it. Nobe feel better and happy birthday honey!!! Enjoy!!!! |

Thanks for the compliment, the shirt actually looks brighter in the picture. It wasn't that obnoxious. I'm not saying that I'm not going to push Tori, I'm just not counting her as one b/c it's to be expected. I'm going to try to get mh to bring her butt back here and I'll push her. Maybe quinn needs a little pushing?
Maybe I'll start the new thread for tomorrow to make sure my goals are set. :) |

Going to watch TV. Will catch you all tomorrow. ! "Pup up. Brown down. Pup is down. Where is Brown? Where is Brown? There is Brown! Mr. Brown is out of town." Do you remember the picture of Brown flying off of the teeter-totter? He's in the sky & flying over the town. For some reason, I thought of this in that you're flying through your goals and onto great success. Man, oh man. You may just reach 199 lb before your target date! Awww. . . You make me blush with your compliment. I really need others to help pull the wagon with me though. |
Mike, I figured the shirt was a little darker. Yeah, I miss mh, Rose,
Cassie, Xzyst, Lizzie, Joanna... There are others, too, but I'm tired and can't think of all our regulars who haven't posted for a while. I agree it's about time for Quinn to hop back onto the wagon, but she's always so close to goal that she can afford to take breaks. It'll be fun to push someone around, though. ;) I looked up tonsil rock--I thought maybe your tonsils were infected, but I see it is all contained and can be easily remedied without need for a doctor in most cases. That's good. Here's a funny, one time when my son was about five years old I took him to the doctor for I thought was a yellow pus pocket on his tonsil. Turned out to be a piece of CORN. LOL Quinn, congrats on those hikes and on jumping back into the wagon since you're now feeling better. :) Luv, that's funny that I didn't remember that "Mr. Brown is out of town" line. A man flying out of a teeter-totter sounds familiar, though. Oh, I would so LOVE to go flying through my goals to that 199. I set a goal of 194 for June 24 because I'm sure my weight loss will slow after a while, but I'm hoping to not be the fattest person at the family reunion. You are one of the truly inspirational people here. April is another who has been full of magenta lately. And I know there are others even this past week. (Again I claim the excuse of being tired--it's past 11:30PM and I'm sleepy. Not admitting to my bad memory. LOL) Hey, maybe we should make all the slackers PUSH us in the wagon. LOL Well, I did it for the first time ever. Met ALL MY GOALS FOR THE WEEK. Had just one blue number but still met that goal because I go for a weekly average on sat fat. :D Sunday Report: Clean Eating Pact YES, YES, YES, YES, YES and without any allowed sugar free chocolate today, YES, YES Calorie limit 1600 1387, 1354, 1591, 1299, 1268, 1573, 1558 Saturated fat average 12% of total calories 8%, 12%, 13%, 12%, 8%, 12%, 11% AVERAGE OF 11% SO I MET MY GOAL Cholesterol average 300mg 162mg, 261mg, 213mg, 128mg, 188mg, 293mg, 284mg Carbs less fiber limit 25g 24.7g, 24g even, 17g, 24g even again, 25g even achieved by shaving off 3 grams of weight from my low carb whey protein/flax muffin (it's not junk food), 24.8g, 24.5g Fiber average 25g 42g, 26g, 43g, 31g, 27g, 28g, 29g Protein average 120g 130g, 134g, 158g, 124g, 124g again, 141, 161g Exercise 5 days YES, YES, YES, scheduled day off, YES, YES, scheduled day off Water 64 oz. Dinner could have been worse (diet-wise), I guess. Had 4 tiny narrow pieces of pizza (have no idea how to equate it to the options on the log, so I estimated it as 3 Fitday pieces, but I don't know) and a tiny, two inch square piece of chocolate cake. But guess who ended up with half a pizza and half a cake in their fridge? My dad and stepmom don't eat leftovers. Sigh. Stop staring at me, stupid cake.
I gave myself permission to be a slacker today because my head felt like it was full of cotton candy. I did have to get groceries but I got hubby to drive me. But I knew what I needed and was racing around the store, so by gum I'm counting it as 15 minutes of walking. My mediocre numbers for today: 1) 1,700 calories max/day - 1454, 1417, 1557, 1467, 1771, 1457, 1856 2) walk for 1 hour, lift weights for 1/2 hour every day except work days (I only work 2-3 days a week), but do it on work days too if I feel like it - no but worked, no but worked, walk 1/2 hr/weights 1/2hr, walk 1 hr/weights 1/2 hr, no but worked, random exercise that I figure adds up to an hour of walking/weights 1/2 hour, 15 mins walking 3) eat more protein, get up from 17% - 18% (it's a start!), 21%, 25%, 22%, 23%, 16%, 16% 4) 64oz water minimum - 64oz, 72oz, 64oz, 64oz, 64oz, 64oz, 64oz 5) calorie deficit at least 500 - 1069, 980, 726, 871, 626, 908, 350 Look at all that new red  |
