Cassie Wow lots of great goals.

Mary Curling looks fun I have never tried it, is it hard to learn?

Mike 100 miles/ 160 km that’s a lot of walking I am hiking 6.5k’s its taking me 1.15 hrs, so to walk your 100 miles I would have to walk my hike 24.5 times that’s a whole day of walking. Wow I will be your walking cheerleader “go mike go” just to see how close to 100 you can get even if you get 50m in it’s an impressive goal.

Hope Hi I like your goal it’s really the point for us all.

Quinn I so get the husband diet frustration my hubby lost his 20lbs by giving up beer and potato chips for 5 weeks he did NOTHING else it made me crazy granted he still has about 15-20 more that won’t move but he kept the first 20 off. Good luck on your goal of -2lbs for this week you can do it!

Joanna I hope your dr’s appointment goes your way with the insulin pump, let us know. Maybe you can adopt Hope’s goal of being healthy and in better shape and losing 10lbs by Jan it’s a good goal I like it.

Pam Welcome.

Mern HI!

I am here and 100% in! I am reading this and trying to drink my coffee before my hiking partner arrives. It's pouring rain and 10c outside and she hasn't called to cancel I am pretty impressed but also uncertain of how many layers I may need to wear, the next few weeks will be a learning experience for us both. We are going to try the longer trail today 8.2k. I am open to dress suggestions from all you hikers out their. Have a great day everyone.

Goals
Exercise 5 days:
Gym 2 days:
Squats 5 days:
Ab work 5 days:
Calories less than 1400:
Calorie deficit of 5000 for week:
Clean something (not daily chores) everyday:
Keep food opinions to myself (other than here):

I'm here. And surprisingly it isn't with my head hung low! I can report a 2.4lb loss since last Monday. That is 4.4lbs in the past two weeks!! I am not really looking to have another week like that this week. If I maintain it for the full week I will be happy. I have noticed in the past that when I have a nice loss I usually bounce back up 2lbs or so and I am just trying not to do that this time.

Right now I am sitting her with a pastry in a take out box staring at me on my desk. A customer brought it for me. It is apples & pears in a flaky crust with a glaze drizzed over it. <~~~food porn in white. I will take it home and share it with my guys. That way I'll only get a bite or two.

I had a success last evening. Remember I complained that my very overweight MIL hasn't commented on my loss so far. We went over last night for FIL's birthday and she finally said that I am 'lookin good'. So I told her my numbers and she was pretty impressed. She actually said she meant to tell me in the summer at the picnic but left early because she wasn't feeling well.

Sorry that I bailed since like Thursday. Friday was far too busy to hop online at work and then Friday night went to hell because my son got into trouble in school followed by him walking out of the house and us not being able to find him for 3 hrs until he showed up about 15 miles away near my in laws house. So my weekend was spent between feeling depressed, angry, sad, like a bad mom, you name it...I felt it this weekend. I did get all my housework, laundry, outdoor plant work, fish tank cleaned goals completed over the weekend though.

This week's goals...

Health/Fitness...
1. 80oz water daily
2. One diet soda daily limit
3. No extra salt on my plate
4. Walk on lunches unless it is actually raining (regardless of what I am wearing) M: Yes,
5. Work out 3 times, W-F

Life goals...
1. Leave for work by 6:40AM M: 7:00AM,
2. Don't get frustrated by youngest son

April, big congrats on the -4.4 pounds. It sure is nice getting good compliments isn't it. That should make you want to keep pushing forward! I like your revised walking goal.

Yeah, I may be setting myself up for failure on my walking goal. I'll give it hell though.

From your MIL, yet...I remember you commenting on that a while back.

Sorry about your weekend. I'm sure your heart was in your throat while your son was missing. On top of an emotional end to last week, too .

Hope this week is much, much better for you. Congrats on the pounds dropped; that has to have gotten your Monday off to a good start!

Mike, you will totally give that walking goal hell. You got some good tunes?

Darlene, whatever works. Calories are calories, and a weird pattern of eating/drinking doesn't matter so much when combined with a lot of consistent days. Sometimes adjustments are necessary; good job!

Cassie, I always have good tunes.

Ya know... I think I may kinda start to miss mh b/c she's so energetic and upbeat. I know she won't be here this week so if y'all tell her next week I'll deny it!

Hello gang, I'm not AWAL. The girls have swimming tonight (which means I'll be at the gym), so instead of my usual am workout I took care of some organizing that was in desperate need of being done. Normally I log on while I'm in cool-down + eat protein mode, but I was elbow deep in paper work this morning. Anyway, we had a pretty quiet weekend, I wasn't feeling the greatest, my asthma is flared up a bit, darn leaf mold. I made it to the gym on Saturday but my eating was completely out of control on Saturday and again for part of Sunday. I really like Mike's goal of having 1 cheat meal/week as opposed to one cheat day/week, I need to adopt that goal, although I can see myself going to an "all you can eat" place and staying until they close and boot me to the curb.

I'm so glad that everybody is "ON BOARD" full out this week and in confession mode. That is exactly what I need to be doing! I haven't updated my signature in a looooonnnng time, so I'm going to take care of that after I post this. I also have to confess that my scale read 157.4 this morning, although some of that is from not drinking enough "water" this weekend, believe me I drank plenty of liquid, um, just not too much of it was water. Summer always packs a few lbs on me, always has, probably always will. So here goes nothing:

Healthy Goals

1. Calories 1,400 M-T-W-Th & Sun, 1,600 F&S.
2. 100 oz water.
3. Protein 25% or higher.
4. Calorie deficit 5,000.
5. Exercise 7 hours.
6. Log everything, and report on this thread.
7. Report my weight right here. 157.4
8. Limit cheating to a single meal, of normal size and duration.

Other Stuff

1. Deal with flower pots.
2. Deal with squash.
3. Housekeeping 1 hour/day + 1 load of laundry.
4. Start Christmas list and update wish list.
5. Call grans.
6. Make orthodontist appointments, no more stalling.

Welcome aboard Pam. This is a great spot for a bit of daily motivation.

Quinn, I have seriously considered gnawing away on my arm a time or two. I don't think the fist would be enough, it's got too many bones in it, but my forearm's got a good bit of meat on it. I soooo hear you on men and weight loss. My DH lost weight when I was pregnant, of all the nerve. Like seriously 60 pounds. I wanted to kill him, almost managed it even, and it sooo would have looked like an accident. With all those pregnant hormones I was having night sweats, so I made him put the A/C unit in the window and I cranked that bad boy up. He on the other hand, had lost weight, so he was freezing all the time. I kid you not, his teeth chattered and his lips and fingertips were blue all night long for about a year. And yes, I've had frozen hair.

Cassie, I've never had any desire to eat the furniture, although I will admit that occasionally a dirty dish rag has held some appeal... Thanks for kicking us off this morning.

Mike you can make all the dieting excuses for men that you want, but in the end understand this, "it pisses us ladies off that y'all can eat more than us". So just watch out, cause at any given time 20% of us have PMS and 6% of us carry firearms. Just sayin'.

Mary, I'm totally envious of your curling, it's seems like a great sport. Although I have to say when I first read it, I got a vision of sitting around with my best girlfriends, trash talking, and wearing curlers (which also sounds like a great time LOL).

Well it's time to git going. Girls have to be in the pool, and I have to go inflict pain upon myself. Um, I mean lift weights.

April, I'm so sorry that motherhood kicked you upside the head this weekend. Hugs to you.

That part that scares me is that a recent study shows that women are a better shot than men.

That's true. A few years ago, we were at the country home of a boy who wanted to date my daughter. He asked our permission to take her to their practice range. While we all watched, he lovingly showed her how to hold the rifle properly, how to use the scope, how to pull the trigger, etc. while she played her very best dumb blonde. We just sat back and watched, knowing exactly what she was doing. Then, to show off a little, he lined up 10 apples hitting about 4. He asked her if she was brave enough to try and she did... Blasting 10 out of 10 from quite a distance. She had failed to tell him that she had been professionally trained at a shooting range the year before and had shot with her grandpa many years before that at the family farm.

Funny... he never called her again...
