I'm not good with the techno stuff, but I try, here are pics of Halloween. In the first shot I didn't have the poodle skirt done, so my oldest had to wear her Elizabeth Cady Stanton bloomer dress. She was not happy with me, thankfully she is a bit of an actress and can fake smile for the camera LOL. The flapper dress is hot pink but it looks really dark in both shots, the camera only picked up on the fringe I guess. That clown in the last one is my dad.

Wednesday is usually hard for me, for some reason. I'm guessing b/c I usually start off the weeks all gung ho and cut way back that it hits me like a ton of bricks. I'm trying to stand firm b/c I know if I cave this early, it'll be a rough week. I can't drop 5 pounds with a rough week. Speaking of dropping pounds, Quinn, how can you complain about men dropping weight and you've dropped 2 pounds in 2 days?

I know! I don't know how exactly, but I've dropped 3.5 since Monday! Not sure what's going on other than I had a lot of salty snacks on Sunday watching the game.

You have a twin then, with a trip to the hair salon, you two would be impossible to tell apart.

Quinn ... Why would you want to get rid of that pic? It's a good one. And nice to put a face with your name!

Main80 ... Nice job on your goals! Especially that last one ;)

Mike & Quinn ... My husband has a bulging disc at L5-S1 from a car wreck in 1996. He also has muscle spasms and nerve damage in his lower back. He lived on hard pain meds for about 7 yrs or so. Then he decided that he was done with them. And he threw them away. Nobody at that point had warned him of detoxing from oxy's  but he made it through. He was off work for almost 10 yrs. Then one day I came home from work and he said he had a job interview. He was going back to turning wrenches. He couldn't stand not supporting his family anymore. He went back to work about 5-1/2 yrs ago and started out on lawn & garden stuff, then tractors and now it is 18 wheel trucks. He suffers every day with the pain and numbness in his feet and hands but after all the things that he tried (injections, electrical accupuncture, having nerve endings burnt off, narcotics, low force chiropractic, botox injections, etc etc) the best thing for him just seems to be to keep going. Once he spends a weekend sitting around he seems to hurt worse than on work nights for the most part. He was told that his issues won't be solved by surgery due to the muscle & nerve damage. It is basically like whip lash but in his lower back.

Amy ... those costumes are adorable! Love that little gnome! I bet she got lots of compliments on that one.

Quinn ... What state are you in?

Thank you, she did, it was crazy, everywhere we went people pointed, smiled, gushed, offered her a new home... I haven't gotten feedback like that on one of my creations in ages, only I can't take credit, it was her idea and she picked out all the fabric and trim.

Thanks, thanks and um, no thanks. Snow I can't go there yet, my mind can't even take the thought. I did go out a few weekends ago and bought a bunch of long sleeve shirts, I have one on right now and I'm still shivering.

Oh boy there is a lot of reading and even more posts in the last minutes:eek:

Darlene, thank you very much for your post. I also believe in the approach of not letting myself feel deprived. I think what I want is to find a balance between not being too hard on myself but also not letting me make excuses for myself. I don't feel bad about the oranges for example, but I know if I had one less piece of bread it would have been better. Also if I had had a bag of chips those would have been GONE! And I agree on all the BIDIA nominations you've gotten. Hope you find good hiking wear and that you are enjoying the time with your parents.

Cassie, congrats on your loss. Its great that you are so disciplined this week but take care of yourself with the injuries.

Almeeker, your DD sure has pretty specific cravings, but its great that she is craving homemade food. Super cute pics!

Quinn, congrats on being down on the scale. I will have to try that recipe as it really seems to be getting great reviews! And oh boy snow!

April, yey on toughing it out on your walks! Nevermind your scale this morning it will all be gone soon, stupid water weight. Thanks, I really need to sleep at more normal hours :). Say hi to mh and tell her she just needs to realize its her addictions trying to mess with her head and that she is really not hungry! Also that we are expecting her back with details so she better be good ;)

Mike, you are rocking your goals! And now I can also "hear" your posts! You have really channeled mh! Now there is no way a veggie pimp can have bad teeth so take care of yourself.

Joanna, glad your nutrionist visit when well and I hope your scale gives you a better number soon.

Mary, you did great on your goals! Hope you get more sunshine days.

Terri, you will kick that conference in the behind! Hang in there, drink your water and we will be waiting for you!
