10 lbs by Christmas anyone??

Hi there,

I've been away from the posts (and exercise) for about 5 months now and need to get back on track. After getting within 4 lbs of reaching my goal, I've slowly been adding a few pounds back on. Mostly it's because I have fallen out of my exercise routine and have been a little lax on my eating habits.

My goal: Lose a pound a week for about 10 weeks which will be right before Christmas.

I want to hit my target weight of 115 right around then. This will help me maintain control during the holiday "binges".

Anyone else looking to lose about 10 pounds???

I'm hoping to at least to be 240 by then and I'd really rather be at 235 by then. I'm at 250.2 right now.

It's very likely that you started gaining after you slowed down your exercise routine. After reading up a bit, it seems that your body can decondition from exercise in as little as two weeks! And that means that good ol' metabolism goes with it :( Try and find an exercise schedule and intensity you an implement as a lifestyle change :)

I would love to reach 47kg for chrismas

Yesterday when I weighed on my wii fit I was 310. This is currently the lowest I've been in two years. December 20th I see my diatitian for a two month follow up on how my blood sugar is doing. My goal is to be 300 or under.

I'm in. Just started tracking my food with fitday. I am 198, that would put me at 188. Far from ideal, but that would put me 14lbs overweight instead of 24. I can work with that.

Christmas is my goal as well. I don't have that much to lose so I am a little worried that it will be slow going. Ideally would like to lose 15 pounds by then but that might be too aggressive.

Would be happy with 10 by Christmas and any more a bonus.

Hi everyone,

I'm in. I've been gone for months. Gained back some pounds:(

I have to admit that it's been hard to count calories. I have trouble with the prepared dishes I make. Like soups or stews. I saw something on Dr. Oz yesterday (not a big fan but was watching). He mentioned that each decade your metabolism slows (yeah duh!). I think I should be eating around 1400/1500 calories. Maybe less. I'm low carb, not carb but I really have to keep track of calories.

Thanks!

I've been on a plateau the last couple of weeks. At least I didn't gain any though. I'm looking forward to seeing the scale move again.

Log each ingredient, just make enough for one day, or if you finish say, half the soup, just halve the portions you entered of the ingredients.

Another way is to go to a recipe calculator site, load your ingredients, click, and voila...instant nutrition facts. Then come to FitDay and load it in as a custom food. I use this one: Recipe Calculator

I am SO in. I have commitment issues though so I will have to get tons of support. I don't know how easy it'll be to lose 10 by December 25th at this point but if I can't make ten, how about five??

I hope to lose 10 pounds by Christmas. I currently weigh 154, so I would be happy to be at 144 ^_^. Though my goal is to lose 2 pounds a week, so I am really hoping to lose 14 by then.

bluejay77 11-13-2011 05:15 AM

Recipe Calculator is a great tool. Thanks. I'm using it today for some asparagus soup.
