Thanks dar, and you're lucky to have that actually, my boyfriend HATES painting with a passion, and isn't overly handy (build me a new computer sure, remodel not so much).

Luckily I'm daddy's little girl so I can still get help on that side.

I have a Kitchen remodel coming up next spring, I do have to say I will get inolved on the demo I SOOO want to take a sledge hammer to my ugly cupboards and that useless wall.

Lol Ruby, was that a hint co-worker 2 wouldn't be alive if they were there yesterday
Suppose I was in a good spot with that yesterday, my side of the office only had me in it all day yesterday. (People Sick, maternity leave, off for surgery, offsite with clients) It was so peaceful.

So far I'm doing well keeping under 200, even lost another pound All that apple picking on the weekend burnt some energy

almeeker,

We used to religiously watch Norm Abrahams on his show "The New Yankee Workshop", but seriously if I had all his toys in my workshop I could be that good too. What I really wanted to do was send him our little bucket of power tools and challenge him to make something impressive with that. Now talk about your reality television program... Sort of like New Yankee Workshop meets Survivor LOL.

OMG! I laughed so hard when I read this! It's SO true! Especially on HGTV. They pull up a fully equipped semi with every tool known to man and an off-camera crew of about 40, and then say, "I told you that you could remodel your entire house in a weekend!"

The landscaping shows are even funnier. They fail to show you the army of men and the 8 Bobcats that actually did all of the work! lol

Health/Fitness Goals
1. 80 oz water daily M: Y,
2. No mindless eating M: Y,
3. Only one diet soda daily M: Y,

Life Goals
1. 1hr house work daily not including daily chores M: N,
2. Border bathroom M: N,
3. Caulk around top of tub M: N,
4. Laundry M: N,

So last night I ended up needing to go "to town". Since we live about a half hour from a city it is usually an all evening event. But I got a new pair of walking shoes so I am happy! Also got the strip that I needed for the corner of the wall in the bathroom (clear plastic drywall corner protection). Hubby will put that on for me. He was even careful to buy stainless screws so they don't rust from the moisture from the humidity in there. He also bought a new porch light fixture and the closer for the storm door on the front of the house. He already installed both last night. I do have to admit that I am not the one who does the construction and electrical type projects. I do more of the painting stuff and I love our house and most of the fixtures in it so I don't have to change any of that. I just have to paint everything because when it was built about 18 yrs ago they never finished painting so if I haven't painted it, it is flat white primer on drywall that is impossible to clean and all the woodwork in every room is raw except the rooms I have painted, I sand & polyurethane the wood to keep it as natural as possible but still cleanable. The auto parts store is fun! I can talk cars & trucks with most any guy and I have a very soft, young (porn) phone voice LOL so my hubby loves to have me call and ask for parts at the auto parts store or junkyard! He loves it.

Thanks to all who complimented my home abilities. Maybe later I will dig up pics of my bedroom that I painted. I think I have some on photobucket. I might even have some of a fall arrangement or two from last season.

Rose ... sounds like overall a good health report. And another lb down! Yay!! I would have your cholesterol rechecked when you get home just to be sure. I don't know much about it honestly but it would seem logical that two different tests could yield different results. .... I also noticed that you spell color the 'english' way but then remembered you are from Canada not America.

Lizzie ... Is it possible that you have added water weight since your vacation and coming back to daily life? Seems a bit quick to really have gained 3.5lbs. In any case I know you will get back to doing what you need to and it will be gone soon.

Quinn ... Good for you for finally taking a day off. I bet that felt really good. I know it was well deserved. I can't remember my last actual full day of doing nothing (other than cooking & dishes).

Amy ... sounds like your parents need a class in potty training not their daughter. Ugh! That would frustrate me so bad.

hi guys, thought i'd check in even tho i'm not doing daily goals this week, but i am keeping them in mind.

i'm still fighting this cold but i feel better today than i did yesterday.

i did my tai chi class last night, i like it it calms my mind and i like the smooth slow movements.

i need to see if i can find a book or DVD so i can practice at home!

i also started counting cals again yesterday, i actually feel good that i didn't go over 1700 cals, and it also keeps me in check with how much i eat!

i did a mix of wii fit/zumba wii this morning, i like zumba since it gets me moving and also gets steps out of the way fr the day too!

i'll check back later!

Don't murder co-workers:

Now that's a very good goal! And one I'm sure a lot of us could apply. Mine would more likely be the crown attorney.

Amy you have my sympathy. I have the same issue with grandkids. You know whatever you try to teach them will be undone; of course I parented 1/2 their parents so I guess I'm to blame for some of the lapses. My fiberglass job is holding water out -- however it's not pretty -- Good job it's on the bottom. Doing it outside helps with the fumes. If I remember rightly the gelcoat was stronger. It's not hard to do -- maybe harder to do right. If you can finish drywall seams you likely would do a smooth job.

Diet and exercise okay -- too much oatmeal as a bedtime snack -- otherwise on track. Mary

Terri, where are you? I assume you haven't been able to post an update b/c you're getting "all dolled up" right now.

I consider it a bread because it uses flour as a base ingredient.

I was struggling last year too when I would get up to 6 miles on my runs. The road I run down is hilly the entire way, which is a great workout. But I was having problems with my IT band and had to stop at the 5 mile point. Right now I'm just running 4 miles but next week I am going to through a 5 mile run in the mix since I want to do another 10k in November and that's 6.2 miles I think.
