Bacon good. You should strike up deal. I am available for breakfast on Sundays.
Excellent, I make a fantastic omelet. Oh, I should warn you in advance, I'm a feeder.

Uh, good to know. So now you have me curious, exactly what did happen? The description left me queasy, did you hurl?

I have some confessions to make. Lately I've had trouble getting in enough exercise, because I've not been sleeping well. Only guess what I don't sleep well when I don't exercise, so apparently my mind and body have crossed over the the "should" to "must" threshold in terms of exercise. So this week I've been forcing myself do it, primarily because the sleep deprivation was killing me. So in order to get myself on that dumb elliptical every morning I've been taking my iphone and playing solitaire while I'm going full tilt on the machine. How nuts is that? Nuts but it works. This morning I went 62 minutes instead of the 60 only because I was winning the hand and wanted to finish and wasn't paying any attention to the clock, normally the last 10 minutes are brutal and I watch every second tick by. Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Report Card for Mon & Tues

Health & Wellness Goals

1. Keep calories below 1,500. 1,970, 1,499
2. Calorie deficit at 3,500 for the week. -347, -1,322 (total 1,669)
3. Water intake of 96 oz daily. Y,Y
4. Workout 6 hours. 45 min, 60 min, (total 1:45)
5. Keep protein near 30%. 22%, 20% (average 21%)

Other stuff

1. Help kids finish all 4-H projects (fair starts Sat ). Y, Y
2. Find an alternate camper for next week. N, Maybe
3. Call grandma. N,N
4. Housekeeping, 15 mins - 2 rooms daily + 1 load laundry. Y, N

Mern, if you come up with a low carb hummus please do share. I LOVE hummus!

Cassie, I'm cracking up over you running to the fridge after seeing a pic of ice cream on facebook. Now that is totally something I would do. So do you still have a bikini in your purse? I crack up every time I open my purse lately. I'm thinking about getting one myself, not to wear, just as a motivational tool to drag around in my handbag and pull out for a reminder. Can't you just picture me at the McDonald's drive thru trying to explain to the cashier that I really wanted a double cheeseburger meal but I would like to change my order to a salad due to the hot pink string bikini tied around my wallet? LOL

Quinn glad to hear that you had a very relaxing day, I'm thinking you had one coming, maybe even a week or two of them.

Mike glad to hear that your epidural went well and thanks for the food porn. I'm wishing I hadn't read the recipe actually, it sounds cheap and easy enough to be made darn near every day around here. I have all the ingredients in the house, so it's only a matter of time before I get weak and start cooking.

Rose congrats on all your exercise lately, you and Chico must be getting ripped!

Just a quick check in before I start my day. It seems like when I check in and post, it reminds me that healthy eating is just as important as the rest of my to-do list.

After reading the last 10 or so posts, I'm totally cracking up!!! I love you guys... what a great group. You always start my day off with a smile. I would have never kept my weight off for this long if it weren't for all of you.

almeeker,
Maybe we can wrap the bikini around the cobbler??? (Just a thought...)

I found a recipe last night for a "Fresh Fruit Pie" and an "Easy Pumpkin Pie" in a low-carb/heart-healthy cookbook that I can't shake out of my head today. Although they may be somewhat healthy, portion control is definitely my issue... one pie equals one serving, right? lol

Enjoy your day, all!

quinn
