You want the butter (real butter not that maragrine crap) to cover the entire top when it melts so it makes a crust instead of a powdery mess. flatten it with your hand before topping with butter, try to not leave too many "hills and valleys". make sure the butter is COLD b/c it's too difficult to slice when soft and it makes a mess. I cut it straight down in thin (about the thickness of construction paper) and layer them end to end. If you cut it thin, 1 stick should be plenty, you could probably get away with less.

Sheila, I don't know about any apps, but I downloaded songs to my MP3 player, 2 medium fast (warm up), 3 fast, 1 slow, 3 fast, 1 slow, 3 fast, well you get the idea. I usually step to the beat of the music, so that's my program for walking.

How about baking pans in the shape of a bathing suit? That would certainly make you think about portion control!
Although in the wrong hands, those could be frighteningly misused
I'm going to continue being good today, though my heart's not in it. I've been good as gold for a week and been bouncing up and down the same half pound, no real progress. Today is up . In my head I know I'm doing the right thing and it'll happen, but it's hard to feel it.

My heart's not in it either, got into some cheese puffs. I used to hate them, but today they tasted really good. The good news is I got in that workout and I've been fairly good outside the cheese puff incident.

Is this an app? I've not downloaded anything called "words with friends". I like word games, am especially good at Boggle, Moxie and Scrabble. I might just have to accept that challenge Mr. Reign of Terror.
