OOPS! MY BAD!!! Here I am thinking this kid was 5 or 6 years old. Not that I would give a 5 or 6 year old Benadryl or a tough exercise regimen. Just kidding. Trying to keep things light and lively. Seriously, good luck with him. You have the patience of a saint. And I do love the name Mr Screamy Pants.

Mike, you're too hard on yourself. You sound like you're doing great.

Really? I would give a tough exercise regimen to a 5 or 6 year old in a HOT SECOND, especially one with ADHD, and I might not hesitate over the benadryl either, although if the workout is tough enough you shouldn't need it LOL. I'm never sure if I have the patience of a saint or I'm mentally unbalanced - it's a very fine line. I can't take credit for the moniker "Mr. Screamy Pants", my 4 yo DD came up with that one. She had been watching Sponge Bob Square Pants and got irritated with all the screaming and said to the little monster "Alright, that's enough out of you Mr. Red Face Screamy Pants!" Right now he's upstairs, supposedly taking a nap, but instead he's howling like a mad cat.

Tomorrow am, I'll let you know. I don't know that it's impressive really, I'm not any stronger than I've ever been, just lighter.

Says the man that posts videos on utube of himself doing I don't even know how many chin-ups. My piddly pile of push-ups are not that impressive, especially considering I never should have let myself get that big in the first place. Now if I could do that many chin-ups maybe... I need to find a spot where I can put a chin-up bar here at the house, because that workout goal is going to start with some serious embarrassment. I've never been able to do a single pull-up, let alone a chin-up, so I have my work cut out for me there. After that, maybe I'll tackle the ever elusive cartwheel.

Just got back into town and everything went pretty well. (Actually, better than I expected.) My family has a very strong history of cancer, so I decided 5 years ago to take a proactive stance and be checked yearly, head to toe, at a major hospital that is known for being a leader in cancer treatment. Everything so far returned as normal... just waiting for one more radiology report. Living in a somewhat rural area, our local hospital is... well, let's just say lacking in the latest diagnostic techniques, let alone treatments. To put it bluntly, I wouldn't take my cat to my hometown hospital.

Although I have never had breast cancer myself, I do see a breast cancer specialist because I'm in a very high risk category. I did meet my new breast cancer specialist and was totally impressed that he is as holistic as I am. Just thought I'd pass along that he highly recommended flax seed, vitamin E and Evening Primrose oil for breast health. (As well as keeping body fat low, following a low fat diet, daily exercise and no caffeine, alcohol or smoking.)

almeeker,

I have to admit, I'm in Mike's camp regarding Mr. Screamy Pants. lol I imagine that the mom has done the obvious, like changing his formula or diet. Did she ever have him checked for acid reflux? I understand it's really painful for babies and often goes undiagnosed. Just wondering. What does her pediatrician say? It seems like more than just fussiness. My oldest was a lot like that. He took 3 month colic into 3 years... it just kind of blended into the "terrible two's"! (Hard to tell where one ended and the next started. lol) I can laugh now, but it sure wasn't funny then. I'm with Mike... hand him back...

Time for bed... it's been a LONG day! Good night, all!

Well today I ate like sh!t, I don't know what got in to me. Tomorrow morning I'm hitting the gym... once again. It's been about a month and I'm LOOONG over due. I can't wait. I also think I'm going to go low carb again. I need to cut out the carbs plain and simple. I gorge way too often.

almeeker, have you tried "negative chin-ups"? Kinda jump up to pull your body up, then slowly lower yourself down. You can also stand on a chair to get your head above the bar then left your feet so that you're no longer on the chair and slowly lower your self down. Once you get that mastered, come back and I'll tell you what to do the next time around.

quinn, I thought for sure someone would have thought I was being an ass about my comment. lol

LOL Ditto! (On both counts!) I ate like total crap today, too. You know, I love being a mom. I love my kids dearly. But I hated the baby stage! I have no idea why. I'm a really nurturing person... HONEST! LOL

If I had the choice to take in 5 teenagers or 1 baby, I'd take the teenagers... any day! LOL

Well guys... I haven't posted lately. A lot has been going on:

My ex who left me is playing the "Let's Play with Luke's Emotions" game. I really do not like this game at all but they seem to be enjoying themselves. When I get caught up in the moment, I am all about wanting to be with them again. But then once I step away from the situation and cool off I realize that I'm being ridiculous and that I would not actually be happy with them anytime soon after all the bus-slinging that they've been doing. It is hard to disengage from the zeal of the moment, but I am going to try to. Any suggestions of how to remain friends with exes, yet not punch them in the face when you see them?

Also, today my sweet 1 year saint bernard mix puppy bit my neighbor's lawn care guy. I am so terrified that he is going to press charges. Fortunately, Stegosaurus is current on all of his vaccines and has gone through a training program; however, no one was around when the bite happened, so there are no witnesses. Because of how tall our fence is, I'm fairly certain that the yard man provoked Steg by sticking his arm onto our side of the fence, but there is no way for me to prove this. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Andddd now the fun part: Hurray taking summer classes! Though honestly I am going stir crazy. I have an 11 o'clock curfew Sunday-Thursday. I'm 20 years old and I have a curfew! I'm a good kid! It's not like I'm out in the club hustlin'!

Though good news!!! I'm still losing weight, even though I feel like I'm slowly going crazy from being back home. Say what?!

Victory dance time! I just went an entire week without emotional eating! Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
