Easy goals for myself this week:

1) maintain the food log, every day
2) get some sort of workout in at some point

personal goals:

1) get the taxes in the mail
2) find something fun to do with the daughter this weekend, she's 7 today

New meds round 2, so far this one's not making me violently ill, so that's good. I'm just a little scared of pushing myself too hard while I adjust.

Default Report card for Monday

I have really kept my goals pretty minimal this week. I just have so much on my plate work-wise that I don't really want to put too many demands on myself because when I don't meet them, I end up feeling so bad about myself. Yesterday I did not work out.. I was so exhausted I slept a ton and besides walking my dog and shoveling the front stairs (AGAIN! ) I didn't do very much. Of course by the end of the day, I felt like a lazy piglet.

This morning I woke up to find that I finally finally finally am below my pre-holiday weight. I gained 5 pounds during Christmas and my trip to NYC and it has taken until now (Feb 8) to be below my pre-holiday weight. It's only a pound less but I feel like now I am really going somewhere. The next batch of weight loss is going to be really exciting because now I am getting ever closer to leaving the obese category! I can't wait!

Another goal that I am pretty proud of is staying off the scale. It is SO MUCH better for me to weigh myself only once a week. Psychologically it feels like more progress is being made. I highly recommend staying off the scale for all you scaled junkies like me.

My goals for this week:
1. Do the 30 Day Shred every morning NO
2. Weigh in, only on Tuesday YES
3. Eat between 1300-1550 calories per day. YES (1290)
4. Keep carbs under 40% YES (17%)
5. Drink 10 big glasses of water per day. DONE!
6. Join the Y. Not yet...

Oh and welcome Claire! I hope you enjoy your time here.

2) Make a YouTube Video (put some effort in to this)... this may not be until next week, b/c I'll want to update on the race.
3) Gallon of water per day. yes 135.2oz

After working 10 hours yesterday while sick, I woke up feeling much better. But had to go to work AGAIN today (I should feel lucky I have a job.) I think I'll be in the gym later today--at least for weights, but not cardio.

Diet/Fitness goals
1) 1600 cal/day, under 30% fat (yes! 1362, 27%)
2) 400-600 calorie deficit through exercise alone by doing:
a) cardio 5X/week (no)
b) weights, 2X/week-full body (no)
4) 8 glass plus of water (yes)

Personal Project Goals:
1) Spend more time in my studio--4 days/wk minimum (just BE in my space--as my husband reminds me "you won't paint if you're not there." (no--worked all day)
2) Gather tax stuff - almost done (partly)

Weight 1/19: 130.5
Weight 1/30: 133.5 (after trip)
Weight 2/8: 131 (yay)
4/1/11 Goal: still 125!!!

Rose,

Congratulations on achieving your pre-holiday weight! Looks like you stayed focused and got the job done!

Cassie,

I agree 100% with everything you said. As I remember, it was tougher when we got to our lowest levels. For me, I'm up 4-5 lbs. Not that that's a lot... I know it's not. But the clothes (especially jeans) that I bought then don't fit as nicely. I have to get my head back in the game completely. Trying to get through a mountain of NHS paperwork, and a million other forms... Before you know it, you'll be doing the same. But first, you have to get through Driver's Ed... hahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!! (Just Kidding, but not really.)

So sorry I don't have time to catch up on all the posts. Like most of you, so many things to do today and not enough hours in the day.

After a quick skim I saw several new or returning members. Welcome to all of you.

And I saw some struggling. Big cyberhugs to all of you and know that we all are rooting for you.

And, of course, congrats to all who are working so hard and doing well on their goals.

I've been trying to limit my time on the computer, you should see this house WAHHHH... Anyway, there were some ladies chatting up a storm on there for a while, it was too much for my brain to keep track of between Thanksgiving and Christmas and I guess they let it drop? Okay you're right, we'll start it again, I miss you too. Right now I have to get going, but I'll be on later. If I don't see a 100+ ladies thread from you then I'll start one.

Default Hi from Sharon

I Like this weekly goal thing. So here goes:

1.Run twice (8 times around track tonight, 9 times on Sat. am)
2.Yoga and Fitness class Wednesday am
3. Stay under 1500 calories....post them on Fitday
4.No desserts.

to do:

1. Stay positive with real estate agents and clients.
2.Get some good healthy snacks and lunch foods into the house
3. Plan healthy dinners (not lean cuisine).

Is that kind of the idea of this thread? I really blew it over the holidays and now I am back to square one. No time like the present! As I recall, it was almost exactly a year ago that I started with fitday forums.
