Hey Gals!!!
I missed yall!!! lol....I just finished my last exam for the semester! only one more semester before I graduate law school! wwooooohoooooo!!!! anyways I have been gone from fitday for about a week but it feels like months! hahaa missed logging in my food and contributing to posts. Glad to be done and seeing everyone is doing good as well.

Checkin- I lost about 6 pounds in 3 and a half weeks, but due to the exam period gains about 2 back, which isnt too bad in the grand scheme of things I suppose. It was mostly due to my incessant snacking ( I just can't help it while studying, its really really bad) I also had some days where I did not drink enough water, so my body could be only on to a lil bit as well. Still was able to make the gym though, so I definitely feel fitter. Anywho back on the track with the healthy eating and less carb loaded snacking.

Hope all is well with everyone! :D

Cookie baking to begin in earnest now, and I have danger foods for holiday baking in the house...chocolate kisses, white chocolate chips, marshmallows. Moderation and balance is my mantra! I'll be working (here at home) most of the weekend, so might have to have the boy hide a few things from me :o.

Hope you all are doing well!

Momma you're doing great! I hope this thread is helping in some way!
Cubby, so good to hear from you! Welcome back!!!
Cassie, pizelles are that fattening, are they? There's much worse you could be eating like these Lindor truffles I've been gobbling! (gobbling - wrong holiday) I like your mantras!!

cjohnson728 12-18-2010 02:58 AM

lol, canary, pizzelles are a gateway drug!

They are only about 55 cals each but it is hard to limit them. In my other life, I would start with four at a time and then four an hour later or so! And so it went...

My biggest downfall is always craving more naughty food once I get started; I don't know if it's the mentality that I already blew it or if it's a physiological thing. It just snowballs. I am really trying to be conscious of that this holiday, since Thanksgiving didn't go so well in that regard.

I'm making biscotti today, in between writing reports.

Sorry for all the cookie porn. I find that posting it keeps me accountable.

Great job in the gym past couple days, canary, btw!

Glenda, sounds challenging to be in your shoes with the DH baking and baking! Maybe he can use some of his time to modify some unhealthy recipes into healthier ones?

Sometimes being too busy to eat as much is not a bad thing...I found myself in the same position the past couple days. Kinda makes me think about how much I eat as a result of boredom :o!
