Default Correct Support?

Hello everyone!

So, I am going to start out with a little about my fitness history. About 5 years ago, I used to be a valid runner; I would run many miles a day. Fast-forward to today, I can barely run 1/2 mile without having to take a break (thank to the freshmen 15 +).

Anyways, last night I tried to jog, but because of my weight gain, my chest would bounce so bad, I had to stop because of that more than my tiredness.

What is the correct way for finding a proper sports bra? I feel the ones I have now are not doing the right job. Any advice?

hey there - i feel your pain!!!

The best advice i got is to find one that has support from the top as well as the bottom, which you can't find on one that is targetted for smaller cup sizes. There's a couple of pretty good brands; I don't remember what they're called, but you can search on Sports Authority's website and find them.

Happy running

Heya, yep, finding a good sports bra took some time for me, too. Not sure how much support your 'girls' need, but if you're in the C/D range like yours truly, you're most likely best off selecting the "encapsulating" kind. I like the Glamorise kind a lot - the link is from JC Penney just to show you what I mean, but you can buy them at a lot of different places. I bought mine a band size bigger than usual, since they seem to run small (now I need to buy new ones since I lost weight ).
There's also an older thread here that has several links to several different varieties - I'll see if I can find it and post the link... Ok, found the thread, let's see if the link works: http://www.fitday.com/fitness/forums...ports-bra.html
Hope that helps!

Default Try these:

Hey MalzerGoob,
Try the Champion Bra Finder: http://www.championusa.com/Champion/...ing.aspx?ID=99.

Champion is one of the origonal sports bra company and still makes outstanding products. They run lots of sales too, so if you keep your eye open you can often find something that is just your size at a very attractive price.

I can also recommend Title 9: Bounce - Title Nine

Really good advise and a great selection. At bit pricier, but protecting the girls and making your runs comfortable is definitely worth it.

Welcome back to the track!

This is going to sound really corny, but I wear 2 bras. The first one I put on is a really good under wire support bra, not a sports bra, but the everyday variety. Then over top of that I put on a heavy duty Champion sports bra, which fits like a second skin. I've purchased the Champions at Walmart, Meijer and Kmart, so they are readily available and easy to find. I've tried several kinds, but this arrangement is the only one that is comfortable enough for a solid 60 minute cardio workout and the only one to keep my DD girls where they should be.
