Ughhh! I hate this week! I wasn't as careful with calories as I should have been. I struggled to exercise after pulling a shoulder muscle. Monday morning at 3 a.m. I felt like I was poked with something sharp. Today I am back on the wagon ladies. I am not giving up or giving in! :mad:

Well Hello all
Just spent the weekend eating 2 huge Thanksgiving dinners ( I am Canadian) so I tried to control my self as much as possible but there was a lot of delicious food. I can soooo relate. We spent the weekend with the inlaws, to celebrate my nephew's birthday. Talk about an eatfest, good grief there must have been 600-700 calories in a serving of that birthday cake and don't even get me started on the ice cream and munchies!!! Oy!

New to FitDay
Hi Everyone, this is a great group. I love tacking on a goal to a specific event or date and with Christmas being my favourite, I am hoping to add onto your wishlist.
I am 30 years old and have two young boys. My husband was recently transferred for work and we know literally two other people in town. I started FitDay exactly one week ago and it is working much better than anything else I have tried. I am 6'1 (yes I know, super tall) and started at 237 lbs. So far I have lost 6 and am so excited to finally do something about this weight gain since my first pregnancy. I would be comfortable with 185 lbs even though that still mysteriously puts me in the "overweight" BMI section. I was in the 140's in highschool but was a super skinny beanpole! Anyway, thanks for this thread - it's great to have just one more thing to hold me accountable. I must must must get out there and be active everyday and not binge on sweets like I normally do. One thing I am finding incredibly hard is to get more protein in my diet (preferrably not with powders and bars since I don't want to be buying them forever - I want a lifestyle I can maintain). I only started about 6 weeks ago and am already down 10 pounds. It is nice to be accountable to someone/something other than yourself it makes me really think about the choices I make. I am 29 and have two small children as well and I noticed a big difference when I cut out the "kid food" out of our diets (i.e. grilled cheese, chicken fingers etc). It took about a week for the kids to adjust to the new foods we were having and ocassionally I give in and make them something but for the most part we are eating fairly healthy. I am also super tall 5'11" ( though not as tall as you, you need to tell me where you buy your jeans...lol) and find it can be discouraging a little bit because it takes a lot longer to notice body changes because there is so much space for it to be spread out over. Hi i am interested in joining this group. I am not sure how to sign up. Last week was my first week and I lost 1.4 pounds.. I know it was challenging for me as I did not get as much activity as I wanted but I was glad to see the weight go down. I am really looking forward to get motivation because of you guys :).. I'm weigh in tomorrow, so I'm trying really hard to be extra extra good today. I was down this morning a tiny bit from last week, and hoping to make it just a little more by tomorrow morning. I have got a bad bladder infection and have antibiotics now to clear it up. Also as i lost 4lbs after monthly aunt flo visit, it hopefully is just water weight going back on. Im not getting down im just going to mend it! Heres to next weeks weigh in, my chins up and im not giving up! |
Down just over a pound. It's coming off so slowly that unless I have a leg amputated there is no way I'm going to be down a full 30 by Christmas, but I will take whatever I can get. We don't have anything planned for this weekend, so hopefully I can stay on track this weekend and maybe post a bigger loss next week.

I'm still 'in,' but I need a break from the scale, as I am currently losing weight pretty slowly, for whatever reason. I'll check in in a few weeks. If you need to take my name off the list to 'de-clutter,' as it were, that's all good. Good luck to all. :)

I'm in but since my weight keeps going up and down, I try to wait until I get the same weight ( or lower) for 2 days in a row.. thus the lack of regular posting. But I am still in there.. and dont rush the time :p there is still like 10 weeks! :D

I'm still here.... Worried that next week is not going to be a good weigh-in my baby has been sick again this week = not very many workouts.... But at least I am still trying to eat good...
