Thank you SO MUCH, Changeisgood! I definitely did enjoy my trip. It was truly amazing! I am in love with Venice and want to go back next year! I also loved Florence, the Cinque Terre, Parma and Bologna. Sigh. Italy really is beautiful.

But back to reality! I am really happy to be a part of this challenge. I have a great feeling about this!!!!

Hey, mtlgirl don't sweat 5lbs. If you think 5lbs over 3 weeks is terrible, then don't go to Disney. We went in August and happened to catch a promotion offering a free food plan, I came back 8lbs heavier and we were only gone for 2 weeks!!!

The beautiful thing about an Italian vacation is that you have to walk everywhere. So I just bet your legs are in great shape from your trip, maybe the 5lbs is all new muscle?

LOL!!! Almeeker, 5lbs of new muscle?! You are my favorite person today. I love your "glass half full" perspective on the weight gain. I actually did walk so much that I am surprised by the 5-pound gain. Every single night my feet were throbbing as I went to sleep. Every day was so packed with activity I felt like I was gone for months! All I can say is GELATO. And yes, I'm sure I would have wreaked more havoc had I been at Disney!!!

I am totally back on my plan though. I just got back from a 50-minute walk/run. I ran for 23 minutes. I was able to run 35 non-stop before I left so I am thrilled with the 23 minutes today. YAY! Christmas is going to be sassy! I already know what I'm wearing! Anyone else have a new smaller sized outfit in mind?

84 days 'til CHRISTMAS

Our first week is complete! So far, we have 32 "losers" signed up. When each of us loses our 30 pounds, the total will be 960 pounds! Thanks to all of you for your tremendous response to my call for support. Had a great week of reflection on why I overeat, and the realization that it isn't food that is the problem, but my abuse of it. Exercise is feeling great too!

OMG!!! Hello my name is Amy and I'm addicted to gelatto.... Do you know how much money/time/heart & soul I've spent trying to recreate gelatto in my kitchen? Neither do I and let's not add it up, because that might convince me not to experiment again (not likely really, but it could happen). I too love gelatto beyond all reason. Somewhere between the gelatto, the free flowing table wine and the FOOD, it's almost a shame you didn't gain more than 5 pounds - seriously.

Disney was a lot of walking too, but everyday we had reservations for a different sit down dining experience, and let me just say this, those Disney people take food VERY VERY SERIOUSLY. They really could change the name from "Disneyland" to "Carbohydrateland", but I suppose Disney is a bit catchier.

Hello my name is Rose and I too am additcted to gelato. I only went 2 gelato-free days of the 22 days that I was there! That means I ate 20 gelato's. If it's any consolation I have never tasted gelato in North America as good as the gelato in Italy. I believe it is the one and only Italian food that one must make the trek over to Italy to truly experience. It is without equal! If you manage to perfect a recipe in your own kitchen, you will be my idol!

jmaemme, congrats on your 5-pound weight loss!!! That is awesome! Please share your secret! How did you lose 5 pounds in one week? Also, kudos on the reflections. That is more than half the battle. You have inspired me to reflect on my own relationship with food.

I don't know how weigh in is going to go on Wednesday -- I have had a pretty horrible week for diet and exercise wise..... My son has been sick almost all week and when baby is sick -- mom doesn't get a lot done....

On a positive note I did my measurements today (I'm doing them every 2 weeks) and in most areas I am down 1 inch in some like my hips I am down 2.... Super excited about that.

But I am not super excited at how I look in my son's birthday pictures - I look so fat and disgusting..... He turned one today. Another really sad and depressing thing - I was down to 164, only 6 weeks after delivering my son.... Man - Post Partumn Depression severly sucks a**!.....

On a more positive note - I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Lost a total of 2 lbs this past week. Thought I had gained, but decided to re-adjust my balance scale because it seemed a bit off, and on top of it the jeans I was wearing didn't help. After adjusting I realize I lost 2lbs. Yay! So I'm down to 169.5 lbs =D Hello 60's!!
