I am a Vegetarian. Would like to increase muscle volume

I am a Vegetarian and even working out and lifting weights, it is hard for me to increase muscle volume. I I drink Protein powder, I get pounds easily. Any recommendations?

Natural foods rather then powders or pills is better

I don't know much about as I can't seem to get into a routine but protein isn't all of it, too much is bad for you. I seem to have body that likes to make muscle but i don't maintain very well.

This link tells how much you need:
Side Effects of Too Much Protein in the Diet - LoveToKnow Diet

This was a good site for a matrix on what you need in a diet:

Your New Weight Training Program: Are You Ready?

Doing google search on dumb bell exercises had some good sites and not so good sites in the results. Six to eight weeks to see results ya know.

You should also check into Tim Van Orde.

I like his vid on the protein myth. It has been really helpful in changing how I view what I eat.

And Robert Cheeke.

Peace,

Posted In Wrong Forum, saw the men only afterward, so sorry. It is hard to focus with my little guy helping with the laptop.

I'm not a vegetarian but I have been using a supplement called creatine that really has helped me build muscle volume. Even better (for you) is that it's supposed to work even better for vegans.
Take a look at creatinemonohydrate.net
Good luck!

Cut sugar, add protein, cut grains.

Look up Randy Couture, the UFC guy. He was on a raw vegetarian diet and look how much he packed on.
