Before - During - After pics.

A couple of times on other threads we've discussed having a thread for "before" and "after" pics. Since I don't have any "after" pics yet, I'm going to post my "before" and "during" shots. So this is not a post about me, it's about all of us, so please share your photos.

"Same wife, same husband (husband sporting the same suit in both pics), but the wife had to go shopping and is wearing a NEW black dress in a MUCH smaller size."

Amy,
I think you might need to repost. I can see the before, but the during is lost in the ozone somewhere.

almeeker 05-21-2011 06:24 AM

Maybe Mike can help me out, it looks fine when I bring it up, but maybe the image is computer sensitive?

fledag 05-21-2011 03:53 PM

You look fabulous. Way to go!

vsabino 05-22-2011 12:15 AM

OMG this is absolutely encouraging! How did you do that? (You must be getting this question a lot...). You do look amazing :)

jackiedqueen 05-22-2011 06:13 AM

I think this is my favorite comparison. Look how round and plump my face was.

Amazing transformations! Way to go to both of you, and thanks for starting this thread.

julu101 05-26-2011 03:47 AM

Wow! Both are amazing - congratulations and what a great idea. I just started a week ago so it will be awhile before I post photos. Great job!!

carlyonawire 05-26-2011 05:26 AM

Wow almeeker and Mike- so very awesome! You both look so great! I can't wait to see a GOOD picture of me. I hope I look half as good as the two of you

You know what? I already have my 'before' picture. You know the one. The minute I saw it, I was like "This looks like one of those 'before' photos on a Nutrasystem commercial!

BooyahBabe 05-27-2011 12:28 PM

congratulations, what great progress!

Kocialapcia 05-29-2011 03:09 AM

Wow!

Amazing!

And a fantastic idea to let us see the stages of you as work in progress!

01gt4.6 05-29-2011 03:15 AM

Thanks everyone but don't let almeeker and I be the only two. Feel free to post up pics!

gallusgal 06-01-2011 11:38 AM

Wowzers! Fantastic progress, Al, Mike, you both look amazing! :)

Tcalix 06-01-2011 11:59 AM

Inspiring pictures

I seen all the atta boys for Amy, but none for you and felt I should say something. Way to go. Fantastic job and nice biceps.

I'm just starting my weight loss journey and really liked your idea with the dated links to various stages. I'm going to do the same. It is a great comparison and I think it will keep me on track. Anytime I lose weight I'm told it's visible because people can see it in my face first. I never see the difference and eventually give up. I think taking pics at various stages will help me stay motivated...and remind me of what I don't want to go back to. Thanks for the great idea.

And thanks to Amy for starting this site. You are both very motivational.:)

thanks. Pictures are a great way to keep yourself motivated. I have to refer back to them and some of my old videos often.

It's so great to see these pics of real people who have worked at losing weight and succeeded. You all looking amazing. My only problem is that I have a phobia about getting my picture taken, I also won't look in mirrors if I can avoid them, it depresses me and then I go eat. Stupid response I know. However, you have nudged me to take the plunge and I might just try snapping myself this weekend as one of my during pics. I do have one" before" as my partner insisted we had one taken at a formal event a year or so ago. Sorry to ramble. Thanks for sharing.

taubele 06-08-2011 10:50 AM

I am notoriously camera shy, but I figured I should get over it some day. I am just about halfway to goal, and I finally broke through a plateau this morning (And... I had occasion to take some pictures). Hopefully I do this right!!

Before...

taubele 06-08-2011 11:36 AM

Thanks Mike and Pam :D I didn't realize how huge those pics were  Do you think I should re-size?

01gt4.6 06-08-2011 11:42 AM

pics never look big to me, I guess b/c my monitor is so big. I now wonder how many huge pics that I've posted. :(

mecompco 06-08-2011 11:52 AM

Looking good! Keep up the great work. :)

Regards,
Michael

cjohnson728 06-08-2011 03:38 PM

Terri, what a big difference! You look fantastic; you go, girl :D!

wildbeanerz 06-08-2011 10:29 PM

Terri, you look awesome! And so happy! Younger too! Keep up the good work!!! :)

taubele 06-09-2011 02:34 AM

Thanks everyone :) I'm blushing like crazy.

It's funny looking at these, I notice much more than just the weight loss. In my start picture -- no makeup, completely messy and ungroomed hair, stains on the shirt (granted, I was doing stuff in the kitchen, but nowadays I put on an apron). I look tired and sallow.

Newer picture -- I put jewelry on, my hair is cut, colored and at least tamed if not styled, I'm wearing a little makeup, and I spent more than 2 seconds on my outfit in the morning. Funny how all these things change.

Funny how the self esteem rises as the weight numbers drop. I noticed these things as well...but not knowing you personally didn't want to comment that far. ;)

DancinBear2 06-09-2011 03:28 AM

Terri, you are doing awesome!

It's funny that you mentioned the other changes. I hadn't really thought about it before but now that you mention it, think I that I also have been taking more care in my grooming habits since I started loosing weight. I guess at some point, as our self esteem goes up we figure out that we are worth putting in a little extra effort.

It just lets me know that others noticed too, and it's not just me being nitpicky! :) it makes me wonder how long I'd really let it go. Part of me knew. I have basically no pictures of myself from the last two years (except this new one!). It says a lot.

MAIN80 06-09-2011 05:44 PM

Terri, you are looking great! The lighter color in your hair looks very nice. I like the huge smile in both pics!

racingredalfa 06-11-2011 07:01 PM
