Depends on, as I am not familiar with the yoga routines. I do a lot of bodyweight exercises (push-up, pull-up etc.) so you can do a lot without weights...but the same benefits than weight trainining,...

To add to the above, what I have heard on several sites was to get a defizit of about 500 per day so that one roughly looses 1 pound a week.

How many repetitions do you plan on doing? As far as I understood, if you want to gain muscles (=toning?) one should be aiming for 5-12 repetitions.
