Don't confuse body weight with ***lean body weight***

The fitness magazines and internet sites seem to think .5 to 1.0 gram of protein per pound of LEAN body weight per day is the correct range. Some bodybuilding sources have indicated up to 1.5 grams...

I personally try to get 30% of my calories from protein. A general rule is .5 to 1.0 gram of protein per pound of LEAN body weight. You can stretch this to 1.5 grams if you are weight training...

I am getting about 112g of protein a day. That is about .6g per pound of lean body weight for me (I would like it to be a little higher like .75g). Most of the articles I read talk about getting .5...
