Mistaken Identity

So my job has changed a bit and now I get out to do tech stuff instead of sitting at a desk all day. And, I've kind of spruced up the image a bit--dress shirt and tie every day.

So this morning I'm at another building working on the computer and this lady, who I've known for eight years, walks in and asks what I'm doing and who I am.

Seems she hadn't seen me for quite some time, working in another part of our district. She was a bit taken aback when we got it all sorted out. :D

It's a strange feeling being "someone else"--it really messes with your head. I can only imagine how others must feel.

Regards,
Michael

That's a great success story, Michael! I like your attitude of "sprucing" as well, it must do a lot for your self image.

For me, I've been sprucing by whitening my teeth. They've gotten pretty stained from coffee/tea (and perhaps the occasional cigar ;) ) so a lot of work has been devoted over the last month. Not going to stop until they get to that "newscaster shine". :D

Dude I've seen the before and after pictures, if you hadn't posted them side by side I would not have been able to put the two together. You've accomplished what many would see as the impossible. I was going to say "miracle", but it was a lot more work than your average miracle. Way to go. I suppose "sprucing up" is the perfect thing to do since you had to buy a whole new wardrobe anyway, but awesome job in even considering it, let alone pulling it off.

I would never have known that your before and after pics are the same person if seen at different times. No wonder she didn't recognize you! That must have felt good after you were done explaining it to her. :)

Well, the "after" picture was back in May, IIRC, about 55 pounds more than I am now. I suppose I should post another! I've already got plans to do the old cliche "stand in one leg of your size 60 Levis" picture the day I hit my ultimate goal.

Regards,
Michael

Hell yeah, you should do it. I can't wait to see the pics.

Maybe you can use those old jeans as a cover for your bike. :D
