G70 transport chain with hook?
Found grade 70 chains with hooks on flatbedequipment.com. Need reliable flatbed chains for tying down heavy steel coils. Do their hooks hold up under extreme tension?
|
If you’re hauling heavy steel coils, you definitely want real commercial-grade gear. Most quality g70 transport chain setups with forged hooks are designed specifically for high-tension flatbed work and DOT compliance. I checked the options at https://flatbedequipment.com/collect...ns-tire-chains and they look like proper heavy-duty transport chains, not light utility versions. The key is matching the working load limit to your cargo weight and inspecting hooks regularly for wear if you haul daily.

Appreciate the info. I haul coils a few times a month, so durability matters more to me than just getting the cheapest chains.

Good chains cost more upfront, but they usually last longer and handle repeated tension far better on rough routes.
