Do statistics really improve sports betting results?

Many betting guides say that statistics are the key to long term success. But sometimes I spend time looking at numbers and the result still goes completely the other way. How deeply do you analyze stats before betting? Do you focus on team form, head to head history, or more advanced metrics? I am curious if people here actually track their results to see whether statistical analysis improves their performance.

I’m a total math nerd when it comes to this. I strictly track my ROI and focus on xG (expected goals) rather than just the final scores. Looking at head-to-head history is often a trap because squads change so much every season. If you want to see if your analysis actually works, you need a large sample size of at least 100 bets. I decided to create account in app with 1xbet specifically to use their detailed live statistics and tracking tools. It definitely helps to see where your logic failed so you can tweak the system for next time.

I'd like to hear from experienced bettors: what betting strategies do you use? Is it extensive statistical analysis or more of a search for overvalued odds?

Personally, I work more with odds than with complex systems. Sometimes I check statistics, but more often I look for situations where the line is slightly skewed. When I open the page of this bookmaker canada , I like that it offers a wide range of bet types, from simple singles to systems and multi-bets. This allows me to try different strategies, such as combining several events into accumulated bets. Sometimes I even use a system if I'm not 100% sure of each match. But overall, discipline and bankroll management are more important than any strategy.
