Default New shoes for the Hot Rod

Since Mike posted a vid of his Mustang, I figured what the heck, here's my ride-
1973 Camaro

Finally upgraded the tire wheel combo-
Rear: 17x9 275/40/17 Front: 17x8 245/45/17

Before:
Rear: 16x8 245/50/16 Front: 16x7 225/50/16

I'll post up a vid of it idling later on, I recently did an intake & carb swap and I'm still working out the bugs.

NICE!!! I like the bigger wheels. I love the resto-mod look. What's under the hood?

Naturally aspirated small block 350 w/ 350 auto trans. Just did a carb/intake swap-600cfm 1406 Edlelbrock & Eddy perfomer intake.
It used to have a Performer RPM intake w/ a 625 Road Demon carb, but I could never get it to run right and figured I had the wrong combo, so that's why I went down a step to the 600cfm.
I'm still working on the fine tuning the a/f ratio & timing.

Nice. How strict are they with emissions in Cali with the older cars?

Pre '75 is exempt from bi-annual smog inspections, but they have mobile road sniffers- kinda like DUI checkpoints. Lots of debate on the legality of these road side mobile dyno/testing stations.

wow, that sucks. I was out one night on slicks & skinnies with open cutouts. A cop pulled into a parking lot gets out and yells "who's Mustang?", I walk up and tell him it's mine. I remember his words to this day, he said "you may not want to come out with those tires next time, you may give the youngsters the wrong impression of your intentions... then again it may be the right impression." I told him, no problem, I'll keep that in mind next time."
I also had my back seat down and he could see that my nitrous bottle in the trunk was opened b/c the gauge was showing pressure.
