For those unfamiliar, GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) is a chronic digestive condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus, leading to irritation and discomfort. GERD chest pain is one of the most concerning symptoms, often being confused with heart-related issues due to its similar presentation.

Key Symptoms of GERD

While GERD chest pain is a common symptom, other signs include:
  • Heartburn (a burning sensation in the chest)
  • Regurgitation (a sour taste or acid backing up into your mouth)
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Chronic cough or a sore throat
  • Bloating and burping
What Triggers GERD Chest Pain?

Certain factors can worsen GERD symptoms and lead to chest pain. Some common GERD triggers include:
  • Spicy or fatty foods

Treatment Options for GERD Chest Pain
