Omg

Usually I eat pretty clean and several meals. Well today I got up and had all intentions of being a pig, and I succeed. I went and got a dozen donuts... and I ate 6 of them (1 galzed, 1 cinnamon cake, 1 jelly filled, 1 chocolate covered cake, 1 glazed chocolate donut, and 1 other, I can't remember but I know I enjoyed it) , I would have had more but I do like to practice some self control. :D

The I spent the day on the water so I went 7 or 8 hours without eating. I picked up a BIG pizza (like New York big, the size of NY state... not NY Pizza;)) and I just ate 2 slices.

I'm feeling like a champ! I think I may go workout, then stop at Sonic and grab a Butterfinger Blast. That's where the "OMG" comes in... I haven't had one in like 2 months! Wooo Whoo

cjohnson728 12-04-2010 11:41 AM

Whoa, thanks for the food porn, Mike!

Enjoy :)

01gt4.6 12-04-2010 11:44 AM

I didn't bother to log it but I can tell it's probably 400g of carbs. LOL

canary52 12-04-2010 12:39 PM

I actaully had to go lie down after I read what you ate!!! JK JK JK!!!

nottango 12-04-2010 02:08 PM

Must be something about the day. I baked christmas cookies, and ate wayyy too many, then ate cheese-filled soft pretzels and crab Rangoons. Hoping the calories burned shoveling snow and sledding with the kids help offset the damage. :o

vabeachgirlNYC 12-04-2010 05:58 PM

OMG!http://www.snay.org/smileys/yikes.gif Bet you feel like crap tomorrow!http://www.snay.org/menshealth/forum...s/emo-sick.gif

I had also planned a cheat for tonight to celebrate something but I got so many compliments from people I hadn't seen in a while, I ended up deficient instead!http://www.snay.org/smileys/doh.gif

Call it shallow, but I prefer eating up the compliments instead of the junk food! http://www.snay.org/menshealth/forum...o-big-grin.gif

Lovedogs4ever 12-04-2010 11:57 PM

Yippee for planned cheating! We can't let our smart self rule our real self ALL the time!

mtlgirl 12-05-2010 01:05 AM

I don't even know what a "Butterfinfer Blast" is but I bet it's pretty damn bad for you... Mike, you are hilarious! Love the attitude! :)

a blast is similar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard. It's ice cream and they run the candy of your choice into it, then they top it with whipped cream and candy sprinkles. I get mine the healthy way... no whipped cream and EXTRA candy! :D

It's a little piece of heaven crammed into a styrofoam cup. :D

I found this on google. http://blogs.houstonpress.com/eating...3c7a076c8c.jpg

Actually I thought that I would but I don't. I think I normally just mentally beat myself up over it, this time I just accepted it.

There's nothing wrong with being shallow. I just want to be deep inside.... my Butterfinger Blast.

canary52 12-05-2010 03:36 AM

I'm sure the Butterfly Blast is fabulous but somehow the picture did not make me want to run out and get one. Now put up a picture of some nice crisp french fries and that might be a different story...

01gt4.6 12-05-2010 03:42 AM

Blast > Fries

canary52 12-05-2010 04:21 AM

I beg to differ. Fries rule.

But you're down in Louisiana. Can we add that gumbo or etouffe or fried chicken surely deserves a mention in the binge food dept?

Yesterday was my indulgence day: chicken wings, onion soup and sour straw candy. Plus a late night sandwich for no reason at all, not even that I was hungry. To each his or her own, I guess.

I can binge on all of that.

Wow Butterfinger Blast! I love DQ Blizzards too. My favourite is the Skor Blizzard... but even a small one has about 800 000 calories. That said, it is devilishly fun to take a detour from being so strict about the food. Glad you enjoyed it, Mike and that you are able to bouce back the very next day. Good for you!

cjohnson728 12-05-2010 05:08 AM

I'm in the fry camp. If there were no consequences, I would rather eat a plate of fries than a dessert. But if there were no consequences, I guess I would eat both ;)

They opened a new frozen yogurt place near us and we went last night. It's dangerous because it is self-serve and the cups are pretty big. You choose your flavors, fill your cup, then go to the toppings bar, with all sorts of fruit , nuts, candies, granola, syrups, you name it. 40 toppings...40!

Boy, that was fun to come home and calculate .

vabeachgirlNYC 12-05-2010 05:55 AM

I love the FroYo place we have here! It's sold by the ounce and pretty low macros for the 2-4oz. I usually get. Sometimes I add a little choc. pebbles cereal and a shot of sf syrup to mine! They also sell doggie FroYo so you can bring your dog!http://www.snay.org/smileys/spaz.gif

canary52 12-05-2010 06:16 AM

I'm a cookies, candy girl myself. Not a big frozen anything fan. I can actually eat half an ice cream (or less) and throw it away. Two sips or tastes of a Blizzard would be fine for me. Then again, maybe I should explain that I am allergic to milk and shouldn't eat that stuff anyway. But if I'm gonna cheat with the dairy, then cheese would be my cheat of choice. I love cheese. Pizza to me is the ideal food and the funny thing is, not only am I allergic to dairy, I'm allergic to tomatoes and shouldn't for health reasons overeat carbs. But I looooooooooooooove pizza.

BTW Doggie FroYo? Really?

vabeachgirlNYC 12-05-2010 06:45 AM

Yep! And the ingredients are way better than those frozen paws, etc. that the stores sell. My dogs love FroYo! :D

Funny thing is that I don't like ice cream but once in a while I really want a FroYo from that place!

And pizza? My favorite food ever but only the real stuff from NYC! http://www.snay.org/smileys/drool.gif

Lizzycritter 12-05-2010 08:14 AM

Today is my day off. Pancakes and bacon with the whole family, then we went to Pizza Hut, dd had a coupon from school for participating in a reading challenge. She got her own personal pepperoni pizza, and we had a hand tossed supreme and buffalo wings... Iced tea to drink, so that's no damage. Planning on putting up the tree when they boys (hubs and son) get up from their naps, then popcorn and a movie for dinner. I'm at about 1750 cals including the popcorn, so there's gonna be some light beer or wine added on the end of all that. For today at least, life is good .

nottango 12-05-2010 10:43 AM

Sorry VABeach girl - CHICAGO style pizza is the best! Though I might as well just paste it on!

vabeachgirlNYC 12-05-2010 11:13 AM

No way! Anyways I'm talking about REAL pizza!http://www.snay.org/smileys/tongue-flap.gif

canary52 12-05-2010 02:19 PM

I kinda gotta go with Vabeachgirl here on the pizza. But I must say I feel it's only fair that I demand FroYo for cats too. Who's with me?

I'm on that! One of my cats LOVES it...no matter where she is, she knows when I'm getting it out of the freezer and shows up to lick the bowl.

01gt4.6 12-05-2010 03:14 PM

okay... today food intake was better but I kept hearing something calling my name and I discovered it was left over pizza. I had some of it and some other crap but nothing like yesterday. Tomorrow I'll be back on the wagon, but damn it felt good to be off!

My cats like it too! I just haven't taken one to have it there, like I do my my dogs! I do have one cat that thinks he is a dog though! :D

VabeachgirlNYC, have you been to Kesté in the West Village on Bleecker? It's incredible! If you ever schedule a cheat day, that is the pizza to try. I'm with you on the New York pizza and everything else in New York for that matter. It's my favorite city!!!!

Also, with regards to the Froyo for dogs, my pooch would love it! Yogurt is one of his favorite people foods along with peanut butter, mango and baby carrots. And yes they should make it for CATS too!!

canary52 12-06-2010 01:24 AM

I'm glad to hear you all weighing in on the cat FroYo situation. It seems only fair. Although to be honest, one of my cats is so fussy he will barely eat cat food. My daughter says he is "manorexic." Then I have a cat who could make a meal of rug lint so go figure.

Also glad to hear others with strong feelings about pizza. Pizza for cats? With anchovies maybe?

01gt4.6 12-06-2010 03:57 AM

I'll share pizza with my daughters, Mytsie and Chloe' but I've never shared pizza with a cat... now chicken and tuna, yes.

canary52 12-06-2010 04:18 AM

No one touches my pizza, man nor beast, not this week. The cats can get their own if they can figure out how to dial the delivery with their little tiny paws.

In fact, I can predict the future. At the end of this week, I will be enjoying pizza, cheese or cheese with veggies. I have had a head cold for almost two weeks and now that it is almost gone, I can have my pizza. Last week, I was- how shall I say this delicately- a mucus factory so I had to make do with wings and things :( poor me.

This week Mama takes herself out for pizza, a guilty pleasure I like to enjoy alone. Hey I don't bother them when they're eating their cat food. And I leave the cats alone too. Ba dum dum.

Tuna water...omg they go bananas when they hear the can opener and come running for the water. It's gotten so that when I open a can of something else (beans, tomato paste), I have to show them the lid because they think I'm witholding tuna nectar from the gods.

Enjoy your pizza, canary! I'm still in recovery mode, so pizza will have to wait a bit :(.

canary52 12-06-2010 05:42 AM

Thank you, Cassie. I do hope you feel better. Then maybe you can indulge in your favorite treats.

My cat Jake is the only cat I know who doesn't like tuna. Now chicken... chicken is another story. If I am having roasted chicken, this cat has to be restrained from leaping onto my lap if not onto the actual table. And this from a very dignified and stately feline. I guess everyone has that one or two (or in my case million) things that make them leap up and say "where's mine?"

kcolville 12-06-2010 05:46 AM

hahah omg is right. this is tooo funny.

I'm from NYC and have to admit I am really picky about my Italian food! I have not tried Keste just because I heard too many mixed reviews. I am loyal to my tried and true favorite places!http://www.snay.org/smileys/laugh.gif

01gt4.6 12-06-2010 08:24 AM

I had Italian today, I'm sure it was nothing like NYC Italian though... hell they had fried catfish on the menu. lol

01gt4.6 12-06-2010 03:43 PM

so yeah, today wasn't much better. I'm feeling it now. The fun is over. This is it, time to get cracking!

Catfish huh? I am Italian and I've never tried catfish... I am pretty sure they have never even heard of catfish over in Italy.

I am a fish lover though so maybe next time I'm in the U.S. I will give catfish a try!

canary52 12-06-2010 11:53 PM

Unless it was catfish parmigiana and even then I'm gonna say not so Italian.

01gt4.6 12-07-2010 03:30 AM

I didn't try it and nobody ordered it in our group. This was a business luncheon and there were about 25 of us. We had a very limited menu, I picked the lesser of the evils but none of the choice were healthy.

01gt4.6 12-07-2010 01:44 PM

Today I've been a good boy. I ate clean and now I'm headed to the gym. Tomorrow is my weigh in for my getting serious thread..
