Lets see your Christmas tree!

I was ALMOST going to try to be "politically correct" and say holiday tree but I've never put up a tree for any other holiday, I don't know about you but this isn't my Thanksgiving, Easter, Veterans Day or Halloween tree. Here is my CHRISTMAS TREE!

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...6/IMG_3011.jpg

So now lets so your (whatever you want to call it) tree!

canary52 12-04-2010 12:41 PM

Too bad I didn't put up my Chanukah bush this year or I would have showed you my bush. Hmmm, that didn't sound quite right.... My bad! Happy holidays!!! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

vabeachgirlNYC 12-04-2010 05:41 PM

My tree! :D

Canary! Pretty sassy! ;)

mtlgirl 12-05-2010 01:08 AM

Beautiful tree, Mike!

01gt4.6 12-05-2010 02:48 AM

canary52, lol. I'm not in to bushes... or shrubs.

vabeach, nice! I'll take 2 please.

mtlgirl, thanks.

canary52 12-05-2010 03:17 AM

Sorry about the tacky post, couldn't resist. I actually usually get a cute little tree on a little stand and decorate it for Chanukah, blue lights and tinsel, Jewish star on top. Very Charlie Brown, if Charlie Brown were Jewish, that is. Nothing like what Vabeach posted. Beautiful picture, Vabeach!

01gt4.6 12-05-2010 03:34 AM

you can't offend me. :D I thought it was funny.

canary52 12-05-2010 04:32 AM

Thank you, Mike. I thought it was funny too. But then again, I had just eaten a whole bunch of candy and might have been a bit punchy from all those carbs! Crazy partier that I am.

BTW, Mike, you do have a good sense of humor and I appreciate that you make the threads very open and easy to feel comfortable on.

cjohnson728 12-05-2010 04:37 AM

The shrub reference went over my head, but maybe a shrubbery?

I really enjoy the off-topic threads also, Mike; thanks! Sometimes I get tunnel vision about the nutrition and the working out; this is a good diversion.

When I get the damn tree up, I'll take a picture. A little behind this year...

*bow to SuperModerator guy*

went over your head? I doubt that! I better not spell it out though. We all contribute to making this fun. No need to bow... yet.

cjohnson728 12-05-2010 12:32 PM

Is it the same as the bush reference? Cause I got that one.

No, don't post it. That's what Urban Dictionary's for.

01gt4.6 12-05-2010 12:38 PM

yes, same thing.

cjohnson728 12-13-2010 09:20 AM

I'm sorry, Canary! I don't have Photobucket...not sure how to get it on. It's pretty much your standard Christmas tree, though...you're not missing much!

It's really just a tree!

oh BTW Cassie. If I drop an egg, I doubt that "Oh shoot" is going to come out my mouth. ;) I won't drop the other 11 but may throw them. :p

cjohnson728 12-13-2010 12:44 PM

Oh, thanks, Mike! Could you perhaps come do some billling and reports for me as well? ;)

Yah, I know. I don't say "shoot," either. But you know how the principles of some quotes just speak to you? That's mine. I am a classic, "Oh, well, I've screwed up, so might as well eat this whole bag of Tostitos and chase it with some chocolate chips."

I imagine, though, that throwing eggs would be very cathartic. Maybe a new intervention? Hurling therapy? No, that sounds like something else.

01gt4.6 12-13-2010 12:47 PM

sure I'll come do your books as long as I have full access to the money. If you're nice I may even invest what I leave behind for you. ;)

Primal-Lioness 12-15-2010 02:06 AM

I love the pictures of the Christmas trees..............

I am Scrooge this year, I am not putting up a tree this year.

01gt4.6 12-04-2011 12:40 PM

Bumpity bump bump

RunbikeSki 12-04-2011 05:29 PM

It'll have to wait until we get up to the mt house. We do decorations in R'side, but wait until we are in the land of snow and ice to do a full tree. Can't wait to see everyone else's

my tree...it's a little Charlie Brownish, but that's just because I didn't feel like getting my actual tree out of storage, and it's a beast to put up. So we went with a crappy prelit small one from WalMart.

Note where the cat is....

01gt4.6 12-07-2011 06:31 AM

Tori, it looks nice. My crappy prelit tree is a decent size but all the bulbs went out after the first year. So now I have a tree that has lights that we had to restring with more lights. This is supposed to be the one that if one bulb burns out, the rest stay lit.... nope, it doesn't work like that. I'll get a pic up in a minute.

wildbeanerz 12-07-2011 07:26 AM

Nice tree Tori! Sometimes I like things simple. I love that the cat thinks the tree skirt is for her.

Mike...That is a nice sized tree. How tall is it? Very well decorated!

Mine seems like it could use more decorations this year. But it is huge!

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u...m/DSC02154.jpg

Sorry this is so big. I was trying to figure out the thumbnail thing and something came up at work. If I figure it out later, I will fix it.

01gt4.6 12-07-2011 07:35 AM

Thanks April, I think it's 9'-9.5'. I help fluff the tree and string the lights. The chirrens did the rest. They want to go blue and silver this year. I think next year I'm getting a real one, even though I always have bad luck with them. Maybe is b/c I always go for the big ones and tend to be too big for my stand.

Tori, I totally missed the cat at first. Haha how cute

VitoVino 12-07-2011 08:24 AM

Nice tree again this year, Mike!

BTW, that "doggy door" almost looks big enough for a person to crawl through.

01gt4.6 12-07-2011 08:30 AM

My daughter can fit through it. My brother told me that he'd be worried that someone would try to break in. I told him that would have to be a real idiot, the last thing I'd want to do is to break into a house that has a big ass dog. Could you imagine someone trying to crawl in through the dog door and are met face to face with the dog?

Thanks. :)

VitoVino 12-07-2011 09:01 AM

Forget the big ass dog. Someone would be stupid to think they wouldn't be met with a big ass shotgun.

ToriD1012 12-07-2011 02:39 PM

Thanks guys! It's crappy to me for a number of reasons...1-I'm used to my 7 1/2 footer that's a whole lot fuller. 2-The cat can tip this one over. We found that out after 1 night. 3-I tend to like to string my own lights because I never know whether I'm going to want white or colored. and 4-it's yet to be decorated LOL! Except for the 4 little ones that came from my aunts and uncles last year. We've got an ornament exchange going on.

The cat definitely thinks that the tree skirt is her new bed. It's pretty funny, because if we come near it she jumps out at us like "BACK UP, I HAVE TO DEFEND MY TURF!!" I have all plastic ornaments that I haven't put up that she keeps eyeing. Which means I'm supposed to put them up so she can bat them off the tree.

@Mike, big ass dogs are the only dogs to have. I'm convinced that those teeny tiny things that yap aren't really dogs.

@Vito, big ass shotguns are cool. But so is the 9mm I keep in the night stand. This southern girl will sic the Rottie on someone BEFORE I shoot them in the ass for breaking in:D

I like your tree, and it looks like the cat does too. :) I have a big one (Chloe') and a small one (Mytsie)01gt46's Channel - YouTube
