Learning Japanese

I've been trying to learn Japanese for years now but I'm still not fluent with it. Maybe it's because I can't focus what with work and everything. Also, I heard that it's one of the hardest languages for an English speaker to learn.

I only know the basics and the principles of forming verbs and adjectives. My niece on the other hand is fluent in it.
