Default when calculating protein and calories - cooked or uncooked?

ok so let me explain. i've made a new diet plan and by hand have broken down the calories.

ie 4 oz of boneless skinless chicken breast has about 150 calories and 34grams of protein

whats confusing me is the Extra lean beef. according to the fitday counter, it says 4 oz of extra lean ground beef is 28grams of protein and 300 calories.

whereas googling it, i found that 1 oz of extra lean ground beef is about 45 calories, thus 180 calories

where's my mistake here? is it because they mean its 180 calories uncooked, and 300 calories cooked?
