Cool Good Ice cream

What dieter doesn't like ice cream? But even most diet or sugar free commercial ice cream has terrible additives in it such as sucralose, propylene glycol (they use to weather-proof RV's---yuk!) and other terrible chemicals. Last year, I bought my own little ice cream maker. I use almond or coconut milk, some chia seeds to add thickness, stevia and either blueberries or strawberries and some times a chopped vanilla bean. It comes out a little more icy than what you buy in the store but a whole lot better for you and wayyyyy fewer calories! Now if I could just have my cake and eat it too.

What a great idea! Ice cream varies in quality. If you can make a healthier ice cream, that's fantastic!

That's actually such a good idea! Thanks! I have an icecream maker at home but haven't put it to use for a while due to dieting. I'm all for eating slightly higher calories if it means eating natural food and avoiding the chemical/processed diet alternatives.

What a great tip!! You can also make mango ice cream, it is literally one ingredient and you get super delicious frozen mango ice cream. Make sure to use a very ripe mango though!
