Natasha - New to the fold...

Hello Everyone,

My name is Natasha and I am a 40 year old BBW. I am size 28 on the hips and 22 on top (UK) a classic pear.

I love being a BBW but not when it limits the type of life that I can have. Currently, I cannot travel in a plane unless I have two seats which means that I haven't been home in 5 years. Also things like just turning up at a restaurant or theatre is difficult because of the arms on the chairs. I am tired of this because it also limits my personality. I have become the person who, after phoning a restaurant to see if there are arms on the chairs, has to make up some stupid excuse to friends about why I can't join them for celebrations at the restaurant. Little by little I am becoming a recluse - so unlike me!

My goal is to be able to lose at least 3 stone (42 lbs) by December to allow me to return home for the first time in a long time and see my niece whom I have seen only once when she was three months old.

I don't have a final goal weight but a final goal size. I would like to be a size 22 on my hips and that would make me a 16 on my top. I have chosen that because that allows me to be the heaviest end of "normal" according to what's available in standard shops. I want to be able to shop in mainstream shops but still retain my status of BBW. I am a very tall woman (5ft11) and I love the idea of being an imposing presence of height and size in a room, lol.

I am looking forward to usign this resource to help me in my progress. I like the idea of posting and blogging - it's cathartic and encouraging. I would really like to know how I could interact with fellow members so I feel that there's more of a supportive community. If anyone has any ideas I would really welcome them.

Well, thanks for witnessing the start of my journey and I look forward to supporting you along yours.

Cheers,
Nat

Hi Natasha, welcome to FitDay! You have a great motivator...I hope you get there and get to see your niece soon :).

If you're looking for some support and motivation, check out the Women's Corner forum threads...they're pretty active. You'll get to "meet" lots of folks who can help you stay on track.

Just give a holler if you have any questions!
