Newbie looking for help

I am a 59 year old man who is a Type 2 diabetic and just found out I also have COPD and congestive heart failure. I weigh about 320 pounds. Doctor wants me on a diabetic AND cardiac diet with no more than 2,000 mg of sodium per day. I was hoping the online logging tool would calculate the sodium for me, but doesn't look like it. Anyone know of a similar free site that will calculate carbs, calories and sodium for me? I may still use this site also.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Welcome Bob!

It's doable - you can make a huge difference bettering yourself. Glad to see you make first steps.

Just something to think about: I did the free FitDay version for a while, but ended up buying the PC FitDay version. I'm so glad that I did this - and I'm not a techy kind of person. I can track Sodium on this version if I so wish. This has been a great investment for me.

And no, I'm not paid to say this!:)

Look at the bottom of my signature. You'll find a treasury of information (FitDay's Best of Series) there that Vito (one of our moderators) put together, including information about the different versions of FitDay.

Sodium can be tracked under "Custom Nutrition Goals" in Classic. It's best to check out the FAQ's thread.

Soliciting members for other sites is against forum rules. ;)
