Hey I was moving a thread and I noticed, for the first time, that this was in New Comers. I thought I had accidentally moved it there and was trying to figure out where to move it to. I can move it back, I thought I was correcting my error.

I think if its ok, we would prefer to be in Newcomers as our aim is to encourage those who want to be a Fat Fighter in 2012 to come and join us?!

Hi Ancia

Welcome! We have one common aim - to fight that fat by end of 2012 !

My motivation has been 0.5 stone treats! I have had 3 so far and am 5lb away from next treat!

In your experience what has triggered the most weight loss
is it dieting or exercising or a combination?

You know the answer ! It has to be a combination in my opinion.

My top tips are:-

set yourself 0.5 (7lb) targets with a treat at end of each
have smaller plates/bowls
dish up meal and then take some off. Dont go back for more

Good luck !

Red face Not posted for a while....

But got weighed today and have lost 2.4lbs after getting back from vacation 3 weeks ago. I have been struggling to get back on the wagon after being away and eating out a lot, eating things I knew I shouldn't.

Come on all you Fabulous Fat Fighters... post your news... be accountable!

A little blip on the graph there, but the trend is again downward

Hi guys

Sorry for quietness - been mad here in UK with preparing for interview and getting new job. Has made weight campaign go slower which is a shame but although not lost in 4 weeks not put on but now on top of new job thoughts, so back we are!!!

Default Hi Fabulous Fat Fighters

Thank you for welcoming newcomers to this thread/group. I am new to FitDay, although not new to the struggle. I started at 190 lbs, now at 175, and need group motivation and some new tools because I sort of rested on my laurels and - of course - gained back some of what I lost. One would think that at age 55, and a lifetime of fighting weight, I would have learned that "not paying attention" is the same as "choosing to gain." Anyway, tracking food and journaling has always been key to losing and getting fitter for me, so I appreciate a new tool for doing that. Thanks for the inspiring messages!
