Cool New to fitday, trying to lose weight in work camp

I came across this website and thought it would help me track everything. I have been struggling as I live/work on a rotational schedule.

For two weeks of camp with no control over food quality and only two choices at meal times, 12 hour days flipping between night and day shift, free weights and one cardio machine for everyone to share as the only exercise options. 200 people with one cardio and a policy prohibiting going for a walk after work means that extra exercise is minimal.

Then one week in the real world where I can work out, but suddenly have to obtain groceries for a week (without leaving left overs at the end) and have a multitude of choices, including junk food (not available in the camp).

I am really hoping someone might have experienced weight loss in a work camp environment and be able to give me some pointers.

ExRx Small videos illustrate each exercise.

Rather than depend on equipment, try bodyweight exercises and plyometrics.

Welcome, Sherry154.

You can always count on great advice from our resident trainer, handcycle.

You'll also find all the tools and other resources at FitDay to meet your weight goals, and to help with your transition into a healthier lifestyle.

We have a terrific Women's forum here where I'm sure you'll find all the support you'd like, as well as the other forums.

A good way to get situated with both the Discussion Board and FitDay program is to visit this link:

If you have any additional questions we are here to assist.

We have a close-knit community that is active and encouraging, so we hope that you decide to "stick around" the Forums.

Best wishes!
